Most punk T? track?

#

Started by mwoolwardx

Fellow metallers,

My friends daughter has a 16th birthday party coming up and he asked me to put together a CD of Punk tracks for it as she is becoming a little punker (could be worse ;-) ).

When I say punk, its not necessarily what you think. These days is Blink182, Green Monkey Spank, and Sum fuck all. But its not so bad…bands like Rise Against, Dillinger4, and Millencoilin are actually pretty good.

So I thought I’d introduce the little Pissants to some true quality on this CD. T? style. So my question is ‘Whats the most punk T? Track?’

Initially thought of Screamager or something from HA. Actually listening back I reckon its ‘30 Seconds’ from Infernal Love (how fucking great is that track?). So I thought I’d put up a poll with the first 5 suggestions + 30Seconds + Screamager.

Remember kids - “Metal Generally aint punk, and Punk sure aint usually metal”

RSVP, then I’ll stick up the poll. Top2 get on the CD.

I look at myself in a sober light, I’m not Elvis but I’m alright”

Opal Mantra is also a good punky/metal song!

Right behind you, but don’t look at once. It might attack and kill you…

perhaps ‘Trigger Inside’? I don’t know if it’s a punk track in the Blink 182 style, but a great tune though. I love ‘30 seconds’ but not for a party though, you need to listen to that on the headphones and hear all the sounds that are in the mix first to really appreciate it.

‘This one’s for you’ is good instant tune or ‘Loose’ is catchy and has a pop punk vibe.

Title: Being a BIG punk fan

I’ve thought of this idea before and I’d say these are the ‘punkyist’ Therapy? songs below:

1. Evil Elvis
2. Nowhere
3. Watch You Go
4. My Voodoo Doll
5. Never Ending
6. Lonely Cryin Only
7. Loose

Maybe even their cover of ‘Teenage Kicks’ perhaps.

That’s all I can think of now.

Quite a few T? songs have that punk edge, so its kinda hard. The songs I’ve chosen are the closest to sounding “punk” in a modern sort of term.
