Not heard much of his stuff, not been that bothered by what I heard. Have been surprised at the depth of feeling both by those that adore and those that despise him. He comes across as self-important and a bit of a knob. And his version of Tainted Love was about as crap as a boy band cover!

Rose McGowan didn’t look like she been hit in the face by the ugly stick either. He seems to have a way with the ladies - another reason to dislike him!

Well, for me:

Positive: He’s done a few good songs, I like his theatricality, I respect the way he manages to offend so many people (religious ones especially), and as has been pointed out, his videos are excellent and he has a very fit bird.

Negative: He’s done some shit songs (lazy covers especially), and much of his fanbase seems to be comprised of sullen middle-class fourteen-year-olds, who hang around Leeds city centre looking a bit silly and not at all scary.

I like him as a person, but his music sucks. Write some riffs, for god sake, and when you get a half-decent one, DON’T KEEP ON USING IT THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SONG!

I got into MM in ‘95 and bought SLC and Portrait on import which are both fantastic albums. Was very happy when Antichrist came out, especially since they finally started getting some attention in the UK which meant tours (I shall have to dig out the photos of me and my flatmate at the gig wearing wedding dresses :D) and they were awesome live. Then it all went a bit crap. I can’t quite put my finger on why but the Rev Manson used to actually talk a lot of sense and now he’s just a bit…silly?

I forked out for the first two albums on import, went to the first two UK tours which were ace - especially as they brought the fantastic pist.on with them! The music videos used to be really good - I remember seeing the Sweet Dreams and Lunchbox vids on Headbangers Ball and Noisy Mothers and they were ace -

Now his videos are crap, his songs are crap, his giggs look crap and his albums are… you guessed it - CRAP!
