Which is better Big Mac or Whopper?

#

Started by nice n sleazy

Walked past a new Burger King on the way to work, memorable as in Vienna there seems to be a McDonalds monopoly and got to thinking “hhhmmmmm burgers, is there anything they can’t do” but what choices to make. So help me decide, which is the better burger. Vegatarian opinions will be largely ignored.

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

I’d prefer a BigMac to a Whopper though in general it’s Burger King for me (i.e. only a couple of times a year, I prefer a Döner- or Pommesbude)

Only because this would be a meaty debate. Therefore opinion of a bean curd eater would not be of much use really.

Hhhmmm, thanks for coming. Does anyone have a straight jacket? Someones beginning to foam at the mouth… probably had a few to many burgers in his formative years.

Burger king cook most of their burgers at the start of the day, the further on things go the more likely you are to get food poisoning, but then again at mcdonalds you’re just as likely anyway. Had to share a room with a guy who’d gotten food poisoning from mcdonalds, oh that was fun!

I’d agree with that - it’s awful rather than really awful. Would be lying if I said there aren’t times I’ve really fancied popping in - generally on the motorway, but as a rule I’d rather get KFC or a kebab or pizza.

exploited and terribly paid staff,

thats an understatement. Any employee of mcdonalds trying to instate some kind of union is automatically fired (its the in the contract) as they believe that their family ethic is so good that they don’t need it. If they don’t need it then why do they feel the need to sack someone who tries to organise one?

Oh I agree Mac Donalds are a bunch of cunts… but then all fast food companies are the food is of piss poor quality, high in fat, salt, sugar and various other nasty chemicals. Read “Fast Food Nation”… scary stuf.

Just asking out of the two choices of fat, salt, sugar and various other nasty chemicals do people prefer?

Me I eat a burger once every 2 months. The rest of the time I would say I am almost a vegetarian partially due to convenience and partially down to FFN.

I liked the bit about J R Simplott. Overall though, I thought the burger chains didn’t come off as badly as the meat processing and packing companies.
