I finance them with my season ticket. ;)

We definitely need at least one good central defender, so Craig Moore would be welcome.
Jens Lehmann is justa rumour as he’s on the bench at Highbury at the moment and the German media speculate about a change because of his career in the national team. But he’s supposed to get 3m€ a year which is way beyond our wage level.

oh aye!

i suppose we could do with two strong defenders. redknapp is ready to sell beattie to raise some money for the transfer window. the were rumours about savage coming to st.mary’s, but that’s just wishful thinking. but i rate this guy very highly, a bad ass motherf*cker but he would be vital in our struggle.

firing wigley didn’t make much difference so far, 2points out of 9:(

what’s the point? wheather is usually shite anyway:p

i never understood why the other leagues have these breaks. i doesn’t make sense to me. of course it’s crap to play on frozen pitches or on snow, but that’s part of the fun. and i never complained standing* on terraces in subzero conditions with a visibility of a few feet. *that is sitting these days… makes you enjoy your post-match-pint even more.

when is the bundesliga starting again?

January 22nd.

One point apart from the pitch conditions was the spectators’ safety that was in danger on frozen terraces.
But nowadays, with all the new grounds and the changed climate as well, that’s not a convincing point anymore.
We used to have lots of indoor tournaments in the past, but this has died out almost completely.
And the teams would have no need to go to Spain or Turkey for a week at the beginning of January to get their squads in shape again.

But it’s traditional and I think a lot of fans won’t like the idea of matches on Christmas as this is really a time for families.

erm… well, we didn’t play THAT bad as in the last few games. but without niemi it could have easily been 3 or 4 to the ‘pool. but hey, i am not giving up. we are not going down! it’ll be another last round decider in may, where we scrape just a point clear or mibbe on goaldifference…

since you are friends with the gladbach board, try convincing them into buying james beattie, the offers so far are at around £6-7m. so if you have a bit of spare cash… i’d like to get £10m, so we could buy 5 decent players (ie. 2 central defenders, 3 midfielders) crouch, blackstock, phillips and ormerod should do in attack. ledley king and thomas gravesen would be on my wishlist:rolleyes:

Beattie is too expensive. I’ve heard Borussia are interested in Wesley Sonck from Ajax.
And Arsenal have an eye on Ledley King.

Ajax would like to have 5 million euro for Sonck which is a bit too much probably

But in the meanwhile Borussia has bought Bernd Thijs, a Belgian player who spent the last 6 months with Trabzonspor but did not play much… I’m afraid that will not change very much in Deutschland…

Crouch and Phillips on target and new boy Redknapp as well.

OK, it’s only Northampton and still ten minutes to go. But it’s a start. :)
