Acoustic Show

#

Started by deadsetgav

Just read about the Belfast acoustic charity show.

I think it would be really good if there was some way of getting a recording of this and selling it on a CD from the web site with the proceeds going towards the disaster relief. Even if it was just as an EP.

I understand that there are legal implications with this as the record company ownes the rights to the songs etc, but couldn’t they see fit to cut the bureaucratic
shit out for once?

That way the fans get what they want - I know there are many people on here who would love it - its been discussed not to recently ago, plus we get to raise some cash for people who really need it!

Just a thought!

Excellent idea, Especially because I can’t get to Belfast for the concert. I think it would be really popular with the fans. :)

Releasing an acoustic CD to raise funds would be cool but it might be difficult depending on what the setlist is.I’m not sure who owns the rights to the A&M and ARK21 albums. If they played just songs off the Spitfire albums it might be easier.
Even if they don’t release a CD its still very good of T? to play a gig raise funds for the tsunami victims.

Sure - there would be loads of legal complications, but if all the proceeds were going to charity, it would be a right cunt who turned round and said they couldn’t release the songs…

…its just a shame the record industry is full of them.

Even if it was just a 4 track ep or something if the whole show was out of the question.

I guess its just wishfull thinking.
