I used to like the covers of famous songs in a lounge style by Richard Cheese, they made me laugh.

Richard Cheese is a legend. I am currently working on the $10,000 needed to get him to play in Leeds… donations gratefully received ;)

Um, about a tenner. I’m not doing very well. I did seriously look into it but they charge $5000 flat fee for playing, then the cost of getting them and their gear here and putting them up. Plus all the drugs and whores… maaaaan, soon adds up. Would probably be easier for me to just go to America and see them on home turf.

When do you need a band by, at uni me and a friend used to do lounge versions of thrash metal songs, with a Frank sinatra impersonator, quality. I could come home and reform the band for a second gig, we would just want a pack of special brew and some porn…we are alot cheaper but not as good, border line shit?

Try http://www.sacktrick.com
I don’t know if they have a website, but you should also try to get some DVDA stuff. Its Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s band (the guys who do South Park).

@divers - I don’t so much *need* a band as just really really really want to see them. You guys sound funny though so would be happy to sort you out a gig - demo? :D

Fair enough, anyway the singer might be hard to track down as he was a street bum/performer who lived in Kingston. But if we ever feel like maiming some tunes you will be the first to know!

I’m not sure they’re going anymore though sadly. But I think the remaining members have started up a band called: Operation Asparagus.
