there is a 4th season? man, jack bauer has a busy life saving the world from total destruction in just 4 days. what’s it about: there was the assassination attempt , the atom bomb and the deadly virus? what’s next? an alien invasion??? :D

I guess my life will never be as busy as his. :p

24 - The DIY challenge. Bauer has to assemble an IKEA bathroom cupboard as well as do the shopping before the wife comes home just as Osama Bin Laden unexpectadly pops by for a cup of tea.

poor jack. he’s fighting a losing battle…he can do nothing but fail. he’s done so well with all the previous challenges, but will find his master in IKEA stuff.

what can I say: ‘I could be worse - I could be you’ :D

no the IKEA season is a prelude to season 5 where he journeys to sweden (in half an epsiode for realism ;)) and does battle with the IKEA Overlord and his horde of Marauding Shelf Stackers

That was the other weekend, and I avoided hitting anyone with anything. Just. It really is an insidious nightmare - America has Desperate Housewives to highlight the dark side of the American Dream, and in Europe we have IKEA. One day someone is going to go seriously postal in an IKEA.

And before anyone says that they have such wonderful storage solutions, yes, I know. THAT ONLY MAKES THINGS WORSE!

Suspect a bit of a spend there is on the cards for a couple of week’s time. I find the entire prospect makes me thoroughly glum.

People that aspire to IKEA probably also have those cunty ‘pro-biotic’ yoghurt drinks that are supposed to help you shit properly, in those crappy little containers.

The drinks are in the containers, that is.

Rant over. I’ll go and calm down now.

Damn you Motherh ;)

(Actually, I’d rather people didn’t talk about 24 - the boyfriend is taping it off Sky for me so I’ll be behind everyone else and don’t want to risk spoilers.)

Soooo…yeah, I love Ikea :D Except I bought a carrier bag holder thingy and I can’t make it fasten together like in the diagram. That’s probably just because I’m a weak and feeble woman though.

They have been replaced by Swedish flat-pack pod people! It’s invasion of the body snatchers all over again!

@Robby Do something! If her eyes haven’t yet glazed over and she’s not yet repeating the mantra “I am a happy shopper” there may still be time…

Jack Bauer would never shop in IKEA.

 I’m gonna have to amend the guidelines… Members must not murder and dismember other WoMbles (especially CLs), even when said WoMbles are possessed by evil spirits/ Swedish flat-pack pod people.

Says the possessed Swedish flat-pack person!

Shopping in IKEA is like stepping in dogshit - something everyone does sometimes, but something no-one should be proud about.

AS I say, I admit they have some good storage solutions and funds mean we’ll be having to go there soon. But there’s something so… repulsive about everything about IKEA. It’s full of so many smug-yet-dull looking 30 something couples. Bleurgh!
