Didn’t mind the new album it could have been worse, but i have seen them once in Vegas and that just blowed real hard. His voice live is too much to take.

Hooch, isn’t there a guideline which says you can’t piss off both OSP in the same post?

:p

A shame indeed, I’ve got really good memories of seeing them live in the nineties three times, and I have a ticket for one of their shows in Holland in two weeks time - they better not spoil the good memories!

Hate to say it but they both suck now!

Dave’s voice appears to be completely shot and Metallica just has gotten annoying.

Does Metallica still do all those lame Medleys? They drive me nuts..

I just remember the good old days, and steer clear of any albums released after 1993.

I was there and I thought it was WAY better than Anthrax, and also a bit better than Motorhead. The sound was crap, the venue was full of pricks- but its the Ulster Hall- that’s what you get. The music was great and Dave was going strong. Metallica the way forward?! That’s just wrong- they’ve gone from crap to crapper over the last 20 years- they’ve had some quality riffs, sure- and they put on a good live show. I went to see Metallica in Dublin in 2003, and I was at the Ulster Hall. There is no contest- Megadeth are still and always will be by far the better band.

Still doesn’t compare to Therapy? gigs, though!

Yeah Megadeth are far superior, plus it’s funny to watch Dave dribble when he sings. Still, neither of them are Cheap Trick…

Could be, but I am not sure. Last time I saw them (Werchter), they were so occupied with that lame “you are metallica”, “we love you”, “metallica loves you”, etc… that they forgot to actually play any songs

I went to see MEGADETH in Dublin last week, and thought it was a fucking brilliant gig. I couldn’t find any fault with the band, performance or the venue.

It knocked the shit out of the two shows METALLICA played in the RDS last year and the year before.

metallica are pussys I seen em live 2 times and they are shit. Mustaine is the best guitar player out of these two bands, followed by James Hetfield whom i do not really like but he’s a cool rhythm player.(he’s an arsehole oooo look at me Im a hard bastard oh wait now no i’m not i’m a whinging fuckwit who’s in THERAPY with the whole of my band)
Mustaine’s recent effort is 10000000000 times better than st anger Man I thought they rocked hanger 18, tornado of souls, peace sells, Mechanix, back in the day, symphony, holy wars they all rocked like fuck man. The air guitar was out for the whole lot first time it came out since motorhead. I did see them in dublin though maybe they were shitty up in norn iron. Unless i See therapy this year the gig of 2005 is over.

I know what you mean, Ulster Hall is a pile of shit, and it ruined any hope I ever had of liking Anthrax to any great degree!
