And back on topic (a bit)… I found a copy of K! in my living room this morning and have to say the only three interesting things in it were the three comments on T? in the poll. I took it into the bathroom in case we run out of loo roll instead.

I wouldn’t use it as loo roll it’s too gossy, it would like using the stuff you used to get at Primary school which was tracing paper and smeared more than absorbed (back off topic again).;)

For all those missed the issue of Kerrang with the 100 British Rock albums heres what Kerrang had to say about T?
100.Therapy?
‘Infernal Love’
Northern Ireland’s brightest show their dark side.
Awkward buggers at the best of times after 1994’s commercially triumpahnt ‘Troublegum’ Therapy? decided to skewer us with the divinely dark humour of ‘Infernal Love’.Tackling everything from kid-fiddling catholic priests in ‘30 Seconds’ to the pecu-liarly British joys of cross-dressing and necking E with a close friend in ‘Loose’,this didn’t just confuse the mainstream it demonstrated that Therapy? weren’t shy about appealing to their fans more fucked-up sensibilities.
You Say:”A left turn for Therapy? but a lost classic”Chris Turner,Co Armagh
Burn This:’Misery’
76.Therapy?
‘Nurse’
Dark major label debut that sent Therapy? skywards.
For their first proper album Therapy? refused to play by the rules.Rather than hire a full-time and expensive producer they used their soundman to produce. The result was a frantically grungy sound, one entirely at odds with the polish and sheen coming from over the Atlantic. That Andy Cairn’s songs could instantly related to being a life so familiar to it’s listeners could only make it stronger.
You Say:”Raw dark and eloquent,brilliant”Jimbo Haynes,Leeds.
Burn This:’Teerhgrinder’
31.Therapy?
‘Troublegum’
Alternative Ulstermen give metal a good kicking. It feels better for it.
Back in the day certain divisions were more carefully delineated. You were either metal or you weren’t,but Therapy? blurred by the boudaries, bringing punk and alternative influences(Big Black,Joy Division) and whacking huge great metal riffs into their midst. The result was an album of typically British pitch black humour that thrust them out of the underground and into (relative) mainstream acceptance on this side of the pond and hammered home the fact that we didn’t just have to ape what the yanks were doing on MTV.
You Say:”The British Velvet Underground-everyone who heard this was influced by it.”Dan McCulloch,Norwich.
Burn This“‘Screamager”

It wasn’t like the good old days. See a band on MTV that you liked and then buy the album with that weeks pocket money.
Wasn’t life better in that retrospect.

That was my entire secondry school education… I would stop up on a Sunday night to watch Headbangers Ball (and Noisy Mothers on Sat) and check out all the new bands.
I would then hot foot it down to the shops or get the ‘Alice’s Records’ catalouge out (God they were ace!!) and spend my pocket money…
…Then again my mates did the same and we copied the fuck out of each others stuff cause we were skint. But hey, at least one of us bought a copy!!!

Like 30seconds its a positive term, its quite common now in music reviews for the words “burn this” or “download this” to appear it just means this is the best song to check the album out with.
Did anyone vote for T?Its a pity we didn’t find out about the poll until it was published we might have got Infernal Love higher in the list and maybe Babyteeth,Semi-Detached,HA and NANE in the poll as well.
