Free mp3 file sharing programme?

#

Started by Billy Blue

I need a bit of help.

I had Soulseek for ages then it said I needed to upgrade it which I did. Now it doesn’t work, and I’m rubbish with computers so couldn’t make it work.

I’ve checked loads of other programmes now like Kazaa, Ares, Winmix, Limewire etc and they all charge around 99p a month.

How come I had a free one before? Do they not exist anymore? Can anyone suggest anything, or recommend one which is good to use.

Thank you!!!

I can send you the installation stuff by mail if you want to, just let me know… but I don’t have a clue yet if it’s any good, but my brother claims it is ;)

The only thing with these filesharing programs is that some have very annoying spyware that can fuck up your computer

spyware and adware are hidden software that seem to have no other function other than advertizing a useless product by hiding files on your hard drive. i always clean up my disk and that seems to work.

Nah, Its pretty much always the people that have around 1000 songs on their computer, I only have about 20.. so I don’t worry. Anyway If i like the song I normally go and buy the album so Its sort of like a taster of the album. I really hate buying an album and it only having three or four good songs on it(St anger!)

It doesn’t make sense for anyone to sue people for downloading music - the cost to the record companies would far outweigh the benefits as far as I can see, and they are here to make money - not to loose it.

What the hell is with Ares?

I downloaded it and go to search, then put in a band name and it just says Performing search… and nothing happens!

Is it just me or what?

Bad Karma: Did you download Limewire for free? Or do you know how I can get Soulseek back for free?

i’m using shareaza with no problem (except it crashes occasionally when previewing a file). the trick is to make sure it connects to all 3 networks, which means you can be searching through up to 5 different p2p networks at the same time.
