Title: MAIDEN back in IRELAND…!!! (merged)

Got an email from ticketbastard…

IRON MAIDEN are doing a gig in Dublins RDS on 31st August this year.

Here’s what they sent….

Iron Maiden – special guest Marilyn Manson

RDS Arena, Dublin – 31 August 2005

It has just been revealed that Iron Maiden plus special guest Marilyn Manson will perform at the RDS Arena, Dublin on 31 August 2005 as part of their Eddie Rips Up the World Tour. Tickets will be available from Saturday 26 February at 09:00.

Iron Maiden released The History of Iron Maiden – Part 1: The Early Years in September of last year to much acclaim. The double DVD focuses on the early days of the band and covers the period of the first four classic albums, Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind. Touring in support of The Early Years, manager Rod Smallwood explains that it ‘gives us a fantastic opportunity to give the fans a set with lots of materiel from those great albums’.

The first four albums and tours are being taken as the theme for the production of the show and will feature some of the ideas incorporated in the early days of the band, particularly on The Beast on the Road Tour and the World Piece Tour. Everything on the technical side however will be state of the art in terms of screens, lights and PA.

Special guest on the night comes from one of the most notorious and controversial entertainers ever, Marilyn Manson. In September of last year, Manson released the album Lest We Forget, a collection of songs covering the highlights of his career.

Don’t miss your chance to see Iron Maiden and special guest Marilyn Manson live at the RDS Arena, Dublin on 31 August 2005. Tickets will be available from Saturday 26 February at 09:00 and can be purchased from Ticketmaster.ie.

Title: the get Therapy? on the Maiden/Manson bill for Dublin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (merged)

31 August 2005 Maiden are playing the RDS with Marlyn Manson supporting. If this gig is anything like the last 2 metallica shows then there will be one more band added to the bill.

Therapy? would be a perfect choice and its not just a silly little wet dream i’m having..its very possible. Therapy? played wiht Bruce on the BBC6 festival back in may 2004 and even performed ‘black night’ together. therapy? also being an irish band and would be best suited to opening a big show in dublin.

so lets all make some noise and hope some fucker hears it and puts it into action!!!!

You have no idea how starved for decent hard rock and metal gigs we are here in IRELAND.

99 times out of 100 we are left out of European tours.

Mainly because most bands consider us part of the UK…!!!

BUT WE’RE NOT…!!!
(touchy subject for some, so we’ll just leave it at that)

Once again, welcome to rip off Ireland. I’ll probably be going to the three day Primaverasound festival in Barcelona in May and it’s €75 for the 3 days.

Having said that, it sounds like a fucking good show, and if T? were added it’d justify (barely) the outragious price.

Look I know you’re bitter about it but just accept the fact that you’re not good enough to be part of the UK :D ;)

It’s worse for Northern Ireland… I mean O.K., I’m getting a train down to see Maiden, but I need to pay for a hotel in DUBLIN (where a can of coke costs 2 euro- up here you could get a can of the other coke for that!) plus that, and the tickets are 50 quid a pop! Worst part is, we ARE part of the UK (but not Great Britain, go figure) so nobody EVER comes here, really… one or two obligitory gigs in the Ulster Hall- I’d honestly rather have a pit full of pig shit as a venue! Saving grace- Therapy? and the one off Misfits show. That’s fuckin’ it! At least our local scene is good…

Did anyone else hear that ‘Dream Theater’ have been added to the line up? This is really starting to look wothwhile. Plus, my mate reckons that the other two bands still to be announced could be Slayer and Sabbath. I doubt it, though. Come on Primus and Therapy?

DREAM THEATER…

In Ireland.

I’ll actually piss my pants if it’s true…!!!!

Those guys are without question, the greatest musicians on the planet.
I have all the albums and 2 of there DVD’s.
They are amazing to watch.
Most of their music is pretty tame sounding, but their abilty to play their instruments is superb.

Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please,
