Depends on the kind of amp you’re using. Generally, you put the mids up quite high, the treble also up a good bit and leave the bass in the middle.

Use overdrives and lighter distortions versus heavy distortions. Play your chords wide open instead of using heavy palm mutes. Don’t overdo the gain. You want crunch to enhance your chords but not overpower them like with metal, they need to still ring out. Set yourself up in the middle between heavy crunch and clean.

That’s what I shoot for anyway.
