allroy: there’s no need to carry on banging your head against the wall. i do like “nevermind” but really, the 3rd best album? come on. if it was “in utero” then maybe, perhap’s i’d understand. and that wasn’t even in the top 100. i know, from previous experience that whenever i attempt to point out that nirvana weren’t as fantastic as everyone seems to think, i get a bollocking on this site. but also i know from past experience that there are many other people here who think that the word over-rated applies to nirvana too. anyway… sorry. :)

It’s not about about whether you like the album or not. You also have to consider the ‘historic value’ of it. Anf In Utero doesn’t come anything near Nevermind considering that.
But from that point of view the list is total bollocks.
Take R.E.M.: Green or Document should be in the list and not Automatic For The People.
And why are The Libertines in there at all? Make the poll next year and Bloc Party or Franz Ferdinand would be in it for sure.
But I’ll stop banging my head, it already starts to hurt. ;)
