Hi Tim

Sorry, we don’t sell tickets online just yet - you can call the club on 01793 534238 and make a credit card booking, or PM me and I’ll help sort out something for you.

Cheers

If anyone wants to see Therapy? in a small up close venue, then you should come to this gig. Its pretty damn small, tiny in fact. I can’t believe they are playing there to be honest! There is barely a stage! Should be fun though!

Title: One week to go!! :)

hi all

just a reminder if you haven’t get your tickets for next Fridays’ gig yet to snap em up quick! This is only one of 3 UK dates for the band (announced so far this year anyway!) and will probably be one of the smallest, most initimate gigs the band have played for a very long time!!!

Check out the new Furnace site at http://thefurnace.org.uk - as you can see, we had Hell Is For Heroes in last week and they played an absolute blinder.

Finally, I’ve made a few T? mix CDs - if anyone wants to pick one up at the gig, let me know (pic attached below)

See ya there!! :)

Just got back to Pompey from the Swindon gig. Absolutely fantastic gig. Andy was funny as hell with the crowd, great story about Irish ‘fun’ pubs!

Excellent set, nice to hear Gimme Back My Brain again. Polar Bear was fucking huge, and they even managed to get away with the guitar unplugging half way. Neck Freak was top. The best version of Diane I’ve ever heard, fast and heavy.

I would have dropped Die Laughing for Hey Satan and thrown in Dancin With Manson but really it was a 10 out of 10 gig.

Michaels bass playing gets better and better, and Neil is seriously the best Therapy? drummer.

Got some great photos too, so good to be in such a small venue. Swindon rules!!!

Fantastic gig & The first T? in Swindon (My hometown).

Having seen T? numerous times over the past 10 years, I was impressed by how special this gig was.

Neck Freak absolutely blew me away, first time in an age that I’ve heard it live.

The ‘Thrashy / Metal’ bit in Potato Junkie was Ministrys’ Thieves and was done pretty well.:D

Low point for me was defintely Diane. Whilst better than the recorded version, it still just leaves me cold.

Innocent X would have made the gig prefect for me.;)

I wanna know when they’re coming back again.

well, that was without doubt the best gig I’ve ever seen at the club - followed by one of the best nights dj’ing I’ve ever had. Absolutely perfect night. The only thing that could have made it even better was then having two of my idols then come up and have a chat with me whilst working - oh, hang on a minute, they did!

To echo what others have said, Andy is one of the most genuine, down-to-earth famous people I’ve ever met - not a hint of the usual arrogance you tend to get… Must be something to do with having the name Andy - Mr Barlow of Lamb who I’ve met loads of times is also sound as a pound.

*starry-eyed*

The only pity was that I wasn’t allowed to take a load of close-up pix of the gig for the Furnace site like I normally do - however, I got much better spoils instead:

I got quite a few photos. I know they aren’t great quality but could you use some of these?

Hmm.. that’s my legs top of the spiral staircase, top and right (ish) of photo.

Bit that made me smile the most — Andy’s guitar volume messed up during solo to He’s Not That Kind Of Girl, so he sang it instead.

What a great venue, BTW.

I agree, ace gig. Probably the best T? live performance i’ve seen. The venue was cool as hell too.
My only complaint is targeted at the tossers highlighted in one of the photo’s in this thread - the ones standing on the railings right infront of AC for pretty much the last half of the gig.
Only hung around for a bit afterwards, we must have left before the dj’ing started.. we assumed that there was only one cd on - FNM’s Angel Dust, i’m sure it was played start to finish twice before T? came on and then it was on again afterwards..

I would have liked to have heard Opal Mantra but Diane and Potato Junkie were rockin.

yeah, they were plastered though, so it can be forgiven though. i was nearly pissing myself (as was michael) when michael was introducing teethgrinder. he said something along the lines of he had been to the doctor and had been told that he had a problem in his sleep. then he said “the doctor told me my problem was a grinding of the…” to which the crowd were supposed to shout “teeth”.

he did this about 4 times before he had to say, “no just shout “teeth” - it sounds better!” because everybody had been shouting “teethgrinder”. (“a grinding of the teethgrinder”. just to spell it out)

then he did it again and they got it right, much to the bands amusement:D

Following the conversaton in another thread about a recording of this gig — and looking back over the set list — I remember what a great gig it was. I don’t have the recording myself, but being reminded of the set list brings back the memories — Gimme Back My Brain and He’s Not That Kind Of Girl, along with Rise Up, Rust and If It Kills Me — it is a set full of top tunes…
