As I’m sure everyone else has said by now, I would love a T? box set and/or B-sides and rariteis collection. Not much more to say other than I hope something of the like will see the light of day sometime soon.

As for re-recordings: as long as they’re busy with writing new songs and releasing them I don’t really think there’s a need for it though I have to admit that especially Neil’s drumming would be awesome with the old stuff.

Nobody is re-recording anything from Nurse. I think the metllic drum sound is the greatest strength of the album and it wouldn’t be fair towards Fyfe because let’s face it, how fantastic Neil may be, he will never let us forget the one and only original THERAPY?-drummer that is Fyfe.

Instead of re-recording tracks maybe releasing live versions would be better.

A couple of people have mentioned re-recording/remixing of the Babyteeth and Nurse songs, and i was thinking live versions with Mr Cooper on drums would be better. But i’d much rather hear new T? songs than re-recorded ones.I know during the Semi-Detached era they re-recorded some tracks with Graham as B-sides which were ok but from interviews Andy and the guys are really concentrating on the future and the next album than the past which is a good thing.

I think it sounds right. Oh, and I’m up for the Box Set too, but haven’t had this discussion before.

I was just thinking (maybe someone else has posted this, but I can’t be bothered to look) if not a boxset, then they should do like The Manics did with the rerelease of The Holy Bible. Bring Troublegum back out, remastered, with twice as many songs, DVDs, etc.

Not as good as a boxset, I know, but I’d gladly part with my cash for it.

I don’t know. Troublegum was pretty top of the line when done, and has held up extremely well.

How about a remaster of Babyteeth and Pleasure Death?

When you hear the songs from those EPs on SMFTYP, they sound great.

I’ll agree with that. A re-master of “Nurse” would be great as well. Chris Sheldon’s re-recordings on those EPs showed how much potential those songs had, but they just sounded uninspired on Nurse. Also, if you listen to live gigs from around 1993, songs like Perversonality, Nausea, Neck Freak, Teethgrinder sound fuckin’ massive!

And I’ll agree with you. For years Perversonality never did all that much for me, but when I finally heard it like on the Rockplast show, I was hooked. It’s now one of my favorites..especially to play on the guitar. I think on Nurse there’s a little too much overdubbing which obscures the main guitar rhythm riff and bass lines which are what really drive that song.

I think suicidalmaniac’s post is spot on. I only really get to listen to cd’s driving to and from work nowadays, and for the last few weeks I;ve been rediscovering the delights of all my therapy? albums. Unfortunately I don’t have a multi changer cd player, so havent bothered with “opal Mantra” & the other ep’s that were released around the time of Troublegum. A b-side/rarity cd would be great, for putting all those songs that were never on albums together (maybe include the 2 new tracks that were on the “greatest hits cd” whcih I never bothered to buy, becuase it seemed like a waste of money).

I was listening to Babyteeth this morning, and compared to the other albums, the sound is poor. Maybe a remaster of it would be a good idea? I would DEFNITELY not want a rerecorded or remastered version of “Nurse”. I think ti sounds great as it is, the sound they have on that album is perfect; stark and harsh, I think it adds a great atmosphere to the songs, and personally I prefered those original versions to the rerecorded versions that appeared on the ep’s.

If they do do something like this, I hope they leave those awful “sabre bollocks” remixes or whatever the f**k they were called, and no acoustic versions either eh?!

The Holy Bible 10th Anniversary edition was great but i’m glad T? didn’t re-release Troublegum last year and instead concentrated on NANE and the future!Unlike the Manics i think T? have a future.

Sad but true:(. Anyway, am i the only one who thinks, that while a compilation cd of rarities and b-sides would be good, there would be that difficult fact that thereapy? have been on a few labels and because of that it would be mere impossible to get all the b-sides wanted and so forth. Maybe they could do what the ramones did bring out a boxset full of rarieties and so forth that were done whilst the band were at a specific label? Then again, it would cost a bomb considering therapy? have been with there fairt share of labels. Just a suggestion.

With all the different labels it might take longer to sort out all the legal stuff involved in releasing a potential boxset.SMFTTYP and Scopophobia both had songs from different labels on them so fingers crossed there might a be a T? boxset some day.
