that was such a cool and funny news that i decided to put it in the chit-chat-links-to-cool-things-thread - still one of the best jokes of the year so far me thinks :)

It’s true, they gave ‘head’ to god.

I absolutely adore the first two albums of korn (korn, life is peachy). they are fantastic. Davis on them is like a nukelear powerplant, so much energy!

But then they released a shitty third album (follow the leader), and aftewards never made any decent record.

I liked the first 3 Korn albums, but then lost a little interest after the dire ‘Issues’ came out. My sister bought me the 5th album Untouchables for my birthday out of the blue thinking I was still really into them. I will admit it was better than Issues, but still not great. After that I haven’t bought anything.

Glad I haven’t bothered then! Loved the track Thoughtless off Untouchables though.

It will be interesting to hear what any new stuff sounds like without Head (in a kind of morbid staring at a car crash kinda way)

He used to do all the weird little guitar parts that raised a lot of their songs up a notch or two. Without him I recon they are fucked - I mean, they might be so desperate they let that stupid fuckwit Fieldy sing backing vocals…

Can you remember when Fieldy released a solo album? Jesus  I never listen to it, but can just imagine what it was like.

Fair enough, I always thought Fieldy was a little full of himself. Always thought Munkey was cool and the best one in the band, seemed down to earth.

I bought the VHS video of Korn - Who-Then-Now and on that Fieldy was a bit big headed and full of himself. Come to think of it, he thought he was black! Fieldy = Wigger

yeah i agree with that, only followed em upto ‘follow the leader’ (quite ironic) so i don’t know about after that..

jon davis to me just seemed like he was making to much effort towards the audience, ‘ooh look at me i’ve been in pain, i’m hurt…feel sorry for me and know how cool i am because of it’…

i can’t remember even hearing the drummer speak…

Talk about a band that were hyped to the limits. I loved the first album like I did with Troublegum, and was lucky to see them on the Kerrang! stage at Donington - a blinding set. Life is Peachy had its moments. Saw them again at Newport centre - good but not great great (though I would like to shake the hand of who ever threw a pint a Fred Durst’s head).

Follow the Leader, great, thought it was something special. Pity they never toured that album in the UK though. Issues I thought was great, but Untouceables was bollocks. Four million dollars for a shit set of songs. Clearly, the money went to their heads and those whom followed who could relate to Jonathan Davis’ lyrics, myself included, wanted nothing to do with them.

Thankfully, I don’t have any Korn tattoos. Personally, I think Head made the right choice, by jumping off a sinking ship.

If Korn are set to release a double album i don’t think they’ll have enough good songs for one album nevermind a double.
