The third episode was a step up from the first two, I thought. A couple of crap moments, though. (I managed to watch it on my brother’s freeview box. I’m going to have to get one myself at some point…)

Episode four looks realy cool, too.

I think the problem is that the bad bits are very bad. Didn’t help that the ‘incomplete cyber(wo)man’ looked more like a super villain than the survivor of horrific surgery. It should have either looked horrific, or implied the horror (like being hidden beneath clothing).

The Torchwood thing with the alien entity type thingy that fed on orgasmic energy was just so naff it was pitiful, and jamming a lesbain snog into the episode was great to watch but really transparent:
“Hey, look we are an adult version of Dr Who! Look - LESBIAN ACTION and everything! How daring of us!”

If only every single programme from Eastenders to Emmerdale to (probably) even Bargain Hunt and Blue Peter hadn’t featured girl-on-girl scenes AGES ago*.

(*naturally, there is some exaggeration in this sentence, but you get the drift)

Yeah, they kept on about how it was going to be ‘adult’, but it’s not exactly mature, is it?

at least setting it in Wales is a really really cheap way to get extras for the alien scenes.

Oh come on welsh people, lighten up, it was a JOKE!

Did anyone watch see John Barrowman on the Jonathan Ross show a few weeks back and on last weeks Nevermind The Buzzcocks? He was very funny.

I’ve seen 5 episodes of Torchwood now and i still can’t decide whether or not i like the show and i still can’t name any of the characters other than Captain Jack.
The show doesn’t seem to show any signs of improving, i saw a clip of next weeks and they’ve resorted to more lesbian scenes.Which like Dennis said fun to watch but i wish they would put more effort into the scripts.

I think if Torchwood the series was more like the Torchwood in the final two episodes of series two of Doctor Who and was more sinister the show would be better.

I saw him on Jonathan Ross’s show, but not Nevermind the Buzzcocks. He seemed genuinely hurt when Ross criticised his action figure. :D

I’m still watching Torchwood, and I’ll carry on watching it, at least until the end of this series. I expect there will be a second series, because I’ve heard they’ve been getting good viewing figures, but I hope they sort it out and have a bit of a rethink for a second season.

How many actual aliens have we had?

I bet he’d take it pretty well, actually. He seems to be able to take it as well as deal it. :)

I thought this week’s episode was really good, despite fully expecting it to be the worst of the lot (after reading the synopsis online). I wonder if it was a one off, or if things will improve from now on?

Oh come on folks. This is the BBC - Wosy would have to take anything that was thrown at him, as the BBC don’t want one of their “flagship” entertainment programmes to be blacklisted by stars. Plus Wosy would get his own back in the newspaper column he writes for one of the “red-tops”. Please don’t take this the wrong way but Doctor Who is only tugging on the coat-tails of things like the mystical resurgance that Harry Potter brought about. The old things get brought back out of the cupboard, as the premise is already there, just needs a bit of updating.

Doctor Who should have remained buried after Sylvester McCoy put the last nail in the coffin!

I think there’s some truth in it taking advantage of the Harry Potter thing, but that’s not why I like it, and I don’t suppose there are too many people watching it ‘because it’s like Harry Potter’… ;) *shrugs*

Last nights Torchwood was alright, one of the better episodes. It could interesting whatever this thing in the dark is thats going to come after Jack.I missed the episode that was on the week before.

What i mean’t was Squall quite a few guests on the Jonathan Ross show slag his hair, clothes etc but it’s just good friendly banter i don’t think either him or the guests seem insulted.
