Youre right there! they truly are terrible…but then again, the title of best mime wouldnt exactly be something ANY band would like!

Lyla is indeed pretty mediocre but then in my opinion everything they’ve ever done has been pretty poor apart from definitely maybe and say about half of morning glory. def maybe is the only oasis album anyone really needs, i think. oh and be here now is one of the worst albums by a previously alright band i have ever heard (apart from d’you know what i mean, it rocks).

Anyone who watches that programme deserves far worse than a miming Oasis, anyway. A slow death, maybe. ;)

I think the best Oasis albums are Definately Maybe and The Masterplan.I read an interview with Noel a while back and he said he wished he’d put the songs on The Masterplan on Be Here Now.

I totally agree with you, BK. It’s not as bad as I expected it to be (thus admitting I listened to it already), but nothing more than ok. My fave track so far is Mucky Fingers.

Best Oasis album since Definitely Maybe. Unlike the uninspired, bloated, choked-production and stomping “anthemic” songs of the last three records, they’ve really stripped it down to a vaguely psychedelic, jangly guitar-pop sound, and it works to their advantage so much. While it is recognisable Oasis, a lot of it’s pretty different from their previous work, and it benefits from that a lot. Fucking great album.

don’t know bad karma, i’ve bought the ltd edition, but i’m not home, i don’t have a dvd-player here and so i haven’t seen it yet. sticker says “with exclusive band interviews, fascinating track by track insight into the making of the album, and the lyla video”, but i’ll let you know this weekend!

Unlike other Oasis albums there’s nothing really that stands out as single material on the album.
