those dodgy credit card e mail scams

Started by not_that_kind_of_guy (a story on the radio) in Chit-Chat

today in my inbox i recieved an e mail apparently from visa.com instructing me of some ultra urgent scandal or some other nonsensery bullshit.

i was told to give them my card number (why yes sir, would you like my wallet and testicles too with that?), and was reassusred that i was doing the right thing to protect MY OWN PERSONAL FINANCES. etc etc.

okay, fair enough of course because we’re all so stoooopid that we couldn’t see through a scam, like that right?

but here’s the best bit

i don’t even have a fucking visa credit card.

So are those e-bay ones scams too? Coz i get them but i’m not a memeber of e-bay so i just delete them. Did anyone ever get the ones where it was some little girl dying of cancer and she needed money for an operation or something? they were horrible because they played on your emotions and some of them were really convincing.
