Their first album is pretty much impossible to get. I had it on tape from years ago and later bought the cd version on Ebay.

There are still a few copies of the second album floating around. Judging by your username I’m guessing/assuming you’re Irish, in which case there are often copies in Tower Records and HMV in Dublin.

Happy hunting!!!!

Totally Switched is the American name for their debut.

I’ve bought Kerbdog singles of Amazon and found it reliable. Obviously if you’re buying from a seller in the U.S and you’re in Europe the p&p will be more expensive and will take longer to arrive.

you know what the thing that amazes me about the ‘on the turn’ album.? Aside from the fact that it is brillant…but when i read the album sleeve notes it turns out that Kerbdog are managed by the same guys who manage Iron Maiden!

Which means…i’m kinda hoping that they get the second dupport slot for the maiden gig in dublin.

It’s a shame the Wilt site went down because Darragh was posting fairly regularly about Kerbdog’s activities.
Maybe check ticketmaster.

Aparently, the band are thinking of releasing a live album. This is only what I’ve heard.

Mr Poo, I’m pretty sure Kerbdog no longer have management so the odds of them getting the Maiden support slot are about 0% I reckon.

Since people are talking about Maiden, here’s an interesting tidbit of info I came across once:

Bruce Dickinson asked Jack Endino to produce one of his solo albums (Chemical Wedding I think) because he heard the job Endino had done on Kerbdogs debut and was very impressed. And of course Endino also produced Shameless!

True. I dont think they have management either. But surly they must still have some sort of contact with Smallwood and Taylor. They could ring them up and say “hey rememebr us? you used to manage us…give us a job…please.?”

The Kerbdog situation is an interesting one. They initially got back together for one gig which became two sold out gigs in Dublin, all essentially thanks to word of mouth. Now they seem to be playing sold out gigs up and down the country every two or three weeks with talks of a live album and an Autumn gig at The Olympia in Dublin and a slot at the Oxygen festival. It’s all seems to be snowballing, so really, who knows what’s going to happen. I think the response seems to have taken the band themselves by surprise.

Went to see them last night in Nancy’s…

Great gig. It was really great to see them play together again. It’s my 4th time seeing kerbdog live. The first time was when they supported T? in City Hall in Cork just before TROUBLEGUM came out. That was a killer show by both bands.

I went to see WILT a few years back also and it was just OK. The WILT songs are good, but not a patch on the KERBDOG tunes.

I really hope they release more stuff as KERBDOG. Judging by the reaction to the recent reunion shows it would definitely be worth their while.

Yeah, I saw them in Nancys on Friday - I filmed it too. Well, meself and my buddy Andrew took turns recording on his camcorder. I haven’t seen it yet but I guess the camera gets a little shaky towards the end, as we were both pretty pissed! A good night :)

I saw them in ‘97 at Conna & the Crazy Horse (now Riordans) in Cork, and recently saw them twice in Dublin in February.

Better than the Wilt shows I’ve seen, no doubt.

ah great to hear someone tell us finally cheers mate!!

damn it sounds like kerbdog are bound reform properly by the sounds of what happening in ireland at the moment. I hope they come to england for some shows, i’m sure they will get a massive reception here to…

the only thing i’m worried about is say they do reform and make another studio album, will i be left disappointed. u’know it was great news to hear about helmet reforming after 7 years, but the new album was crap, and i guess i don’t think of them so greatly now. I’m just thinking i ain’t really been into wilt, it might be abit dodgy if they did do something new.

but screw that, i wanna see em back :) helmet, kerbdog…just cable now i got my fingers crossed on that one

I doubt (touch wood) a new Kerbdog album would be crap. In the interim Cormac and Darragh were still writing and performing great songs with Wilt. It’s more of a question of what sound they’d adopt. Wilt was a bit mellower, but the actual quality of the songs was still high.

did neil cooper not play in cable though? or am i gettin mixed up here?

was lucky enough to see kerbdog in the spring & airbrake. pure quality. cormac is such a good frontman. i remember i was pretty gutted when they split up cos i never got to see them. was planning on going to their last gig in dublin but i was pretty young at the time (1997?) and couldn’t afford it. saw wilt a few times and they were great but it never really compensated though…

didn’t know they were playing more shows though - thought that was their last?!? any news of any gigs on the mainland?

yeah neil was the original drummer and played on the earlier stuff upto the down lift mini album, but he then left to concentrate on another band called Gorilla (if you heard ‘em) cable then got a new drummer called richie mills…

if cable did get back i doubt neil will be asked to play as hes with therapy? now..but saying that richie seems to be doing something new on his own, check the link. The site hasn’t changed for a long time now so i don’t know whats cracking off though..

i only asked cos i live in england and managed to catch the mighty kerbdog cos i just happened to be home when they were in belfast. don’t want it to be a one off experience.

Just having a little dig about the comment.
Didn’t mean for anyone to get hung up on it.

Most Dubliners don’t seem to mind stuff like that(mainly ‘cause they’re in their own little country up there), but the rest of the Ireland see’s it very different. They take it a lot more serious.

When someone says the mainland to me, I think of mainland Europe.

But anyway! Back to KERBDOG…

Fingers crossed for a new album! I heard a rumour that the recent gigs were being recorded for a live album.
Some new studio tracks would be even better, though.

anyway, we only say mainland to keep the limies, jocks and taffs happy ;). its tongue and cheek really. we all know that we are the centre of the universe. apologies to anybody offended, but you can’t argue facts :D
