Aye it went in at 8 or 9 i think but the follow up Lovers stalled at 27 and The Tears aren’t releasing any other singles from it and they canceled a tour.

It’s always sad when that happens, cuz they’re pushed as a big band, then when they don’t sell it’s seen as a failure, and the record company often end up falling out with the band. Whereas if it’s a small band to start off with, selling as well as they did is seen as an amazing success.
Lifeblood sold about six copies whilst both the singles went to number 2, so singles sales say very little. Most record labels lose cash on singles anyway.

Yeah it is sad to see a good band being fucked about by a record company,i think it was bloody stupid releasing Here Come The Tears in the same week as Coldplay’s X&Y.

Hahaha, definitely.
Hmmm. I bought them at the same time, I think, so it was sold in Woolworths… and it was more successful than A New Morning.

i read in the gossip section of NME a while ago when they were still together a short piece that read ‘Which recently reformed twosome have had enough of each other already’.
Now, I don’t want to speculate but…

Has anyone heard any news about how Brett’s solo album is going? I wonder if it will be distributed internationally… I’m in the US, so it would be nice to not pay import prices for albums - *sigh* - which is a problem for some Therapy? albums (see, I’m bringing it around to them - LOL) like NANE and One Cure… which aren’t available in US. :(
