Meat Abstract / Merry Fucking Christmas

#

Started by hawkmoon

Don’t know if anyone’s interested but I am having to sell my two most prized possessions.

Meat Abstract and Have A Merry Fucking Christmas will go under the hammer tomorrow night on eBay.

I’m starting them off at 99p each so you may get yourself a bargain.

Please give them a good home!!!

I highly doubt that anyone will want either of those. With that in mind, I’ll be generous and offer you ten quid for both.

Let me know, and keep in touch.

No, no one wants the first single by Therapy? of course not! *bollocks* You won’t get that much for HAMFC as its the bootleg though.

Well done on the description for Meat Abstract. Spot on ;-)

On a more serious note, I feel you should mention that the Have A Merry Fucking Christmas single is the bootleg and not the original one given away at gigs, to avoid confusion/disappointment.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have now edited the description to specify this is the bootleg version.

Is this still a limited edition of 1000 then?

Well the thing is that if you are not a FAN then you can easily be fooled. The records ( i also got both ) both say limited edition 1000 and one side of the cover is ALMOST the same …

This is from an old thread

So apparently the bootleg does say limited to 1000 but that could just be to make it appear more authentic. I dunno.

Your descriptions are very clear, and good on you for changing the one for HAMFC so quickly. One last thing - I noticed that the Babyteeth link in the Meat Abstract description doesn’t work. It’s missing http://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk/

just a thought, you shouldn’t mention the word ‘bootleg’ in ebay listings.. if you’re unlucky ebay will cancel your auction. they regularly scan auctions for key words. also, some idiot might report you and then they will definately cancel it..

Have now replaced the word ‘bootleg’ with ‘unofficial’. Thanks for the tip!

Yet another thing, I’m surprised eBay hasn’t removed the listing for Merry Fucking Christmas because of the swear word. They removed a Roadrunner records CD I was selling because it was called New Shit! Apparaently the word shit was to offensive!

Its funny how eBay say they don’t like bootlegs or other items like promos or concert tickets, but they still take all the millions of commissions they make every day on items like these! Nazis!!!

I was signing up for some online thing a while ago and was told I couldn’t use the word ‘whatever’ because it contained the word ‘hate’

I once tried signing up using the word ‘hate’ but it wouldn’t let me because the site disapproved of hats.

Title: I’m an idiot

I was in the park with my daughter today and wearing a T? t-shirt. A bloke came up to me and asked if I was a big fan, and then said he was asking because he used to be and had a copy of Meat Abstract he wanted to sell. So, instead of saying “I’ll give ya a tenner for it” in a really casual way, I told him exactly how much it was worth and that he should put it on eBay. I’m too bloody nice.
