Hooch: Ah, well, I think it may have something to do with using mozilla instead.

Thanks Gav, but I just worked it out again. :D *sigh*

Hmm, but I still can’t do the ascii one. :( Where are the numbers!? *sobs*
Highlight the sourcecode?

Yeah - on the actual page - if you scroll down bellow the ‘ALTernative’ bit the page goes down quite a way - there is the word ‘up’ written in grey - between that and the google bar is two rows of numbers (3 digits then space then 3 digits - and so on)

They are hidden but if you highlight the text you should be able to read them - send the link to the page and I will do a screen grab for you - that way you aren’t cheating

Hmm, ok, no need. *mutters* I’ve found them. When I do ‘select all’ it only selects as far as ALTernative. (It did this on IE, too. :S) BUt I double clicked on just the right spot, and one of them came up. So if you do select all, you managed to get them, then? Grr.

Select all, my arse. :p

Okay, well, I’ll give that a go. cheers anyway. :)

Title: LEVEL 8 SPOILAGE HERE

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAV!

Level 8 - I sussed getting the address from the image properties (did Jay Pack mean .jpg or was that a coincidence?) - I found the other mp3 in the source code so put them together to get the file, managed to get passed the password in Windows Media but then it said the file was corrupt - is that my computer being a shit or have I been going in totally the wrong direction and not meant to do that anyway?

Ta!

ps - please don’t tell me how to do it, just whether I’m hot or cold :)

pps - daryl - rather than using ‘select all’ use your mouse to drag-highlight the page, then you won’t miss anything :)

see what happens if you put JAY PACK into a google. Also there is a very important clue in the password input box - “Mom, they formatted my second song.”

You are soooo close…

Actually I had tried that as well, but that didn’t work. It’s something to do with there being a ‘hidden’ scrolling window around the hidden text, too, I think. (If you highlight the text and then use your scroll wheel over it, you’ll see that the hidden text scrolls up and down a bit on its own.) Anyway, I’ve got it now. :)

As for the stuff about level eight, I nearly ended up reading it just now, damn you  :p

Have you done it yet? I’ve managed it, but, reading back what you wrote, I didn’t actually understand YOU. :p *shrugs*

Scroll wheel? Posh git. My mouse is an actual mouse, I attached a USB lead to it’s tail and make it run around to move the cursor.

I haven’t had chance to do level 8 yet, thanks for the tips Gav, will try!

Title: Level 9 Spoiler Alert!

Yeah, we got it anyway, cheers Gav :) (it was the Jay Pack one, daryl)

Me and my sister (fished in, the sucker) have decided we’re just *too* brainy; We got ‘turn me on dead man’ from the source straight away but didn’t even think that that would be the answer (too obvious) and ended up reading old articles from the 60s about rumours that Paul McCartney was dead (‘paulisdead’). It mentioned the song Revolution No. 9 (‘revolution’) from The White Album (‘colors’) and apparently if you play the record backwards you can hear a guy shout “Turn me on, Deadman” (obv.) so we were completely stumped with all these clues fitting together for aaaages. D’oh!

She’s out tonight so am holding off from playing level 10 til she gets home.

p.s. Ci? - The answer to that one is already in this thread :)

I was convinced because of the colour clue the password and user name was gonna be The White Album… I thought that was a clever riddle.

I have given up at 16 though cause it was taking too much time up.
