Other Gibson, because I have played most of the above, and nothing comes close to my Voodoo V. Well, maybe an SG… but they’re so different, and mine wins on looks.

This is always tough. I love my SGs, my Les Paul and my Strat. But since I own multiple SGs I guess they win by default.

there is absolutely nothing rock n roll about an ibanez. even less rock n roll is an ibanez called iceman.

Personaly I’m a fan of the Gibson Dot 535’s the body isn’t completly solid and with the fat strings on it, it’s huge with distortion and really clean without.

I also have a jazzmaster which is fun on occations.

Yes I bought it and threw in a drum kit off my Parents next door neighbour, he used to be the Guitar player in Whitesnake back in the 70’s and has a few of them it’s soooo nice to play. it’s a bit like spinal tap with me “don’t touch it don’t even look at it…I said don’t”

Heheh, I have the ‘beauty’ that is a Danelectro Rumor. I’ve been customising it quite a bit (which I don’t mind doing because it was ridiculously cheap). It looks a bit like a Fender Precision, but is almost symmetrical. It’s black, with purple scratchplate, a built in chorus, and an active three band eq with a swept mid (which is absolutley sweet when it hits the right spot, and also, incidentally, cost almost asmuch as the bass :D :). It did have stereo output, too, but I took that out to fit in the eq.
Oh, and it breaks down approximately every week and a half. :D

Erm… Rock and roll? :)

So you have built a frankenstein, at least it has an original sound.
I remember once getting bored and taking apart some cheap distortion pedal i had and adding stuff, it sounds fucking great now but works when it wants to and gives you electric shocks.

Glad to see “other make” doing so well.
A guitar is all about..
a) choice of wood
b) craftsmanship and finish
c) quality of build and parts
d) design

The name on the headstock shouldn’t be as important as it seems to be.

I currently play a Jackson Kelly Pro (KE3) - good old 80’s axe - shaped not unlike a kitchen utensil!!

It’s got a nice sound thanks to the Duncan designed pickups, and the floyd rose style whammy bar comes in handy…
