T? rip off fu manchu

#

Started by richboy

just got ‘california crossing’ by fu manchu and there is a riff in ‘squash that fly’ which is identical to the one in ‘if it kills me’

considering the fu’s album is a year older than high anxiety i don’t think it is them that are guilty.

anyway, andy and fyfe have previously acknowledged that t? borrow bits and pieces form other songs. (they just make them better than the originals!!!)

apologies if this has already been posted (yes i did check but didn’t find any matches)

No! Screw ‘em, they pre-emptively ripped off Therapy?! ;)

There is no such thing these days as an original riff it’s just how you use it!

ok… Just whacked the track on… and you’re right… it’s like exactly the same riff :p… but well… If it kills me is SO much cooler though… so It’s allright

*last night heard a song by someone called faster pussycat who’s chorus lyrics were ripped off NIN… that song wasn’t better though… so it’s not alright…*

hehe - When I was in the band we used to cover Hell on Wheels in the practice room. Fu Manchu are an ace band -

There is nothing better on a summers afternoon than sticking a few Corona’s in the fridge, getting a few mates round, getting the bbq out and sticking on some Fu Manchu and Kyuss…

Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley is the ultimate bbq album! :D
