All of them Good

#

Started by Zorn

(name change: I used to be timfrichards but, heh, that was a bit boring so I chose a reference from a T? demo…)

I have read a lot of criticism about T? albums on these boards. Don’t get me wrong, I understand it.

But am I alone in thinking everything T? have done is good? I mean, I love it all. I always have. I love the good stuff. I love the bad stuff. C’mon, it’s Therapy?

Ain’t T? a way of life?

Zorn.

I think most people define ‘bad’ in terms of T? standards. The only reason f.e. some people think songA is bad is because songB and songC are around to be fucking amazing.

There is a french expression which tells :”All the tastes are in the Nature”, I’ld mean what do you think about ‘Isolation ’ and ‘Loose’ remixes ?
Personnaly, I think these are particulary good, above all if we compare to certain remix specialists called “Kings of the night”, with always the same sequences and some easy sounds.

I’d say Therapy? are one of the few bands to really make an effort when it comes to B-sides and not just use some filler or crap that didn’t make it to the album.

Suing God, Mama You Can Call The Ambulance Now, Gimme Danger and Our Love Must Die are just a few examples of great songs they’ve done. I love their Gimme Danger just as much as The Stooges version and I’m a huge Stooges fan.

Wish I could help, it really does rock… I don’t mean to rub it in. 4 years on and I still listen to it a lot.

Yep, I listen to T?’s ‘Gimme Danger’ a lot too, it really is good.
My favourite T? album is usually the one I’m listening at the moment (currently High Anxiety). I like loads of bands, but T?’s albums for me, along with Afghan Whigs and Faith No More, all have their own distinct sound, yet are clearly by the same band. Top stuff!

Have any of you heard 60 Watt Bulb, from the Church of Noise B-Side? What a track. I must say though, some of the B-sides from the Infernal Love era are a bit patchy and were obviously B - Side fodder (sorry).

Also, the re-recorded version of Skyward, that was on the blue vinyl version of Driving, Crying Only is class.

No wonder we need a T? box set.

Yes it’s a fantastic track, should have been an a-side

It’s a good track but i think the best B-side from the Semi-Detached era(and any T? era for that matter)is Suing God.

The Gimme Back My Brain single is on http://www.ebay.co.uk for about £4-£5, I found it earlier. Loads of early and rare Therapy? singles on there, some of them are quite cheap too.
