What unusual music…

#

Started by PanZer

…do you listen to?

I mean unusual for a T? freak…things really different from the zic of our fav3…

me listens to:

-flamenco puro, mostly Camaron de la Isla
-classical, mostly Wagner and Shubert and Mozart’s requiem, some Puccini…
-Native American powwow music, mostly Sioux Oglala, but from other tribes as well..
-some french speaking singers, like Brel or Arno…

that’s all i see for now…

:)

I like a bit of everything, but I’m a rocker through and through. I like a little Nitin Sawhney now and again and some David Holmes. I got some cool Flamenco the other week by a Jose Amigo (not sure about the first name) which was really good. I fucked up the mp3s though.

I also like some old skool German hip hop. Fanta 4, Fettes Brot..

I’m usually listening to all kinds of stuff loosely linked with the label ‘alternative/indie’, from folk music like Penelope Houston or The Schramms, dub folk like The Fellow Travellers to metal-like stuff like Isis or Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, anything that catches my ear.

Outside the realm of all that rocks I like random dance songs. 99% of dance is shite, but I have friends that are dance experts that sort me out. It’s not something I would go out and buy, but I’ll download it :D

I also like jazz. Miles Davis especially.

I was only joking…

Outside of rock & metal, I like:

Jeff Buckley, Goldfrapp, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Cure, The Smiths, Portishead, Massive Attack, Primal Scream, Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine, Joy Division, a bit of Aphex Twin now and again…

I guess mainly older stuff - I hear a lot of new music but it doesnt really excite me much.

These bands aren’t rock? Fair enough Primal Scream have gone all dancey now and MBV and JD are quite experimental (well, they were for their time), but I still consider that stuff rock.

How can that statement be wrong?

I wouldn’t class them as rock, this is the truth, i honestly wouldnt… therefore my original statement was factually correct.
