What Films Do You Hate?

#

Started by Philth

We’ve had a guilty pleasures film thread, what films can’t you watch again because they’re so bad?

Mine would be:

Empire Records - An ex-girlfriend loved this film and told me I had to see it. I’ve never seen such a contrived piece of shit trying to pass itself off as a coming of age movie for Generation X. It tries to deal with hard hitting issues such as eating disorders, suicidal tendencies and teenage sex, but instead just washes over these themes and ends up being… shit.

Girl, Interupted - Winona Ryder is a cock and I’m pretty sure this film was made to reassure us of this fact. It’s One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest in a home for girls. Not original and very badly acted.

the only film i’ve ever left the cinema during it’s screening was “batman and robin” (the one with arnold schwarzenegger in). serves me right for going in the first place i suppose.

Gosh, there are too many to mention, esp. stupid crap like movies with talentless musicians starring, e.g. Britney Spears or Bad-Ass Lopez.

But to name some renowned movies I really hate: Titanic and Forrest Gump.

Are we going for obviously bad, or over comercialized and bad?

For Obviously bad, I’d go with Manos, Hands of Fate. That’s some cringe right there. Critical Mass was awful as well, stealing scenes from T2 and another movie I can recall. When I say steal, I mean the actual footage.

I know I’ll catch a lot of flack for this one, but I can’t stand Scarface. I was bored to tears, and wished my head imploded when the credits finally rolled off.

I walked out of the cinema during Amercan Pie 3, that was just atrocious. Recently I have been offended by Team America (apart from the montage song, where it managed to redeem itself a little) and I can’t remember the other one. Hercules something or other? About a very annoying and stupid boy doing annoying stupid things. Well, that was the first 20 minutes, I stopped watching after that.

All time most hated movies are probably A Clockwork Orange and Baise Moi, both of which are highly overrated by my friends.

These arent my favoruits films but I quiet like them.

A real pain in the ass was Rendezvous with Joe Black with Brad Pitt. One cool scene in the begining and then 2 hours of borring crap with a stupid story. I hate it if the girl chooses the film. It was my luck that the film had a brake in the cinema.

Another film you shouldnt watch is Dark City.

Oh yeah the blair witch project, now that was shit and not even scary. Alot of people disagree with me but i also found the exocist one of the most boring films i’ve seen and i fell asleep watching in at the cinema.

jk what a pile of wank that was. Ocean’s 12 was the worst film I’ve seen in a while. I don’t generally hate films as I can usually tell if a film is crap by reading reviews, seeing the cast and trailers, so I don’t go see it if it appears to be awful. But, for some reason, I decided to go ahead and see Ocean’s 12. Awful, awful, awful. All the cool of the first film was replaced with shoddy storylines, too many characters and jokes that weren’t that funny.

Batman & Robin and Battlefield Earth. You know things are bad when you drunkenly yell obscenities at the screen and people cheer.

Even though Battlefield Earth on cable is much better (because you didn’t pop down $7 for it), and it’s enjoyable on a Plan 9 from outerspace level. But I’ll always hate it for the fact I payed to see it. One friend who was moving away wanted to see it because he loved the book, so me and another friend took him. Then F’er passed out 10 minutes into it.

Me and a mate watched Vanilla Sky and our heads felt weird at the end of it, took about 10 minutes before we felt normal again

I hate all films with Leslie Nielsen and Melanie Griffith (god, I hate that voice) and it’s a complete turn of when you see the microphone in a film.

And most American films that supposed to make you laugh.

Worst: Blair witch 2, remake of the Shining, open water.
