What Next gen console will you buy?

Mine will be the ps3 then maybe the revolution depending on what games they have on it. As long as they start marketing their games other than mario then it should do well! I don’t even need to ask what Motherh666 will get! By the way Motherh have your team got a free ps3 yet seeing as your working on killzone 2 (i’m assuming you are!) and is it any cop?

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

If I told you I would have to kill you. It’s incredible how little we are allowed to say about it. I think the only thing we are allowed to tell anyone is “It’s nice.”, otherwise we get our balls cut off and mailed to our parents. Not saying it isn’t and yes I will be getting one for the home at some point.

Talking of next-gen I’ve bought a NES for my mate’s birthday, I got Duck Hunt for it :) But Double Dragon doesn’t work and I can’t afford to go back up to newcastle in time, so my mate will have to sort it out. But he does also get Mario Bros, Jackie Chan and Maniac Mansion but really its all about the Duck Hunt!

I don’t really play computer games that much now but out of those next gen consoles i’d probably go for PS3.I remember when the N64 was released i rushed out and bought it and the only good game for it was the classic Goldeneye. The Playstation was far better with a good choice of games.
Super Mario Bros 3 on the Nes was brilliant it’s still one of my favourite games.

I did the same with the N64 and got the goldeneye boxed set. Only ever got Zelda otherwise for it. What a waste, but Goldeneye ruled so hard.

I have the gamecube and am impressed with it, I mean have any of you played resident evil 4…you will no what I mean if you have!
The revolution should be good if you can download games off the n64 such as goldeneye. And also apparently the revolution should shock some people with its technical specs!
Its good only one person wants the xbox 360! I mean all they’ve got is halo 3 and if Killzone 2 does well (hint: make the multiplayer better!) then the xbox will suffer. They’ve got no other good games apart from forza which is the biggest rip off of Gran turismo ever! And apparently the ps3 has better technical specs which is expected, especially seeing as the game discs can hold something like 35gb worth of space which is 4 times more than the new xbox.

Its all well and good having a really smart machine - but if you only release a good game every 18 months whats the point?

Yes I see your point and nintendo need to work with other game developers such as Rockstar to be in with a look in in the next gen console war. But by the way Gamecube does have some really good, not that well known games!

I really like the stuff like super monkey ball and that donkey kong bongo game… I think they would be better doing a Sega and concentrate on making games for other peoples machines.

Phssst 0 is nothing compared to Resi evil 4, and i’ve played it! It just doesn’t seem very good anymore, them annoying fixed camera angles. But 0 is better than resi evil nemesis which is piss poor! Buy resi evil 4 for the best game on the gamecube!

Is the Nintendo Wii compatable with blu-ray discs?

Like the mentally challenged individual I am, I bought a blu-ray disc recently, thinking it will play on my dvd player. It didn’t.
I’m probably gonna buy the Wii soon as I’m hearing good things about the Fit and Sports packs, so just wondering if it plays blu-ray discs?
