If they want to, and they’ve been invited, I don’t see how they could possibly be left out. Heck, I’d happily e-mail Ginger to get him to intervene personally…

So, reliable sources. Do they really really want to do it?

Entirely agreed with apart from the ‘mid 90s’ bit… the albums since have been too good to call this nostalgia! Same with The Wildhearts… obviously Terrorvision haven’t released anything in a long time - but that didn’t stop their show at the Forum being my gig of the year so far.

I hear what you’re saying, I just meant that this was when these groups were newish bands, coming into their own and were getting a lot of press attention as opposed to their best material being released then. For me T?’s last two albums have been two of their finest to date.

I would have no chance of attending this gig, so I’d prefer they were rehearsing for a new album and keep the momentum that has been built up over the last couple of releases.

Whereas I have every chance of attending this gig (with 6000+ others) and would love to hear them at the rock gig of the year, before they return to the studio and make another fantastic record… hey, they could roadtest a couple of the newies!

If I was in your boat I’d be trying to get T? to play this gig for sure. I think I read on another thread that T? were offered a slot at some other festival but had to turn it down because their crew weren’t available for the dates. It might be a similar situation here.

Title: Agggghg i’m on my hols!

Just read the InTheCastle website and am really annoyed now that i can’t make it as i only live in Leeds  It’s going to be hard being on holiday knowing that these great bands are playing so near home..but somehow, lying on that sun drenched beach in Bali…i think i’ll find the strength and manage to struggle through… :D
I think if T? WERE playing it would be too much for me to bear, but its not so bad since i can’t go anyway…so get on with the new album lads!!

I hereby request, no, DEMAND, that Therapy? abandon all plans and sign up for this gig! :D (yes it’s selfish, and?)

There’s gonna be the tantrum to end ALL tantrums if I don’t get my way on this, and nobody wants to see that!

Be warned Mr Cairns  ;)

If they’ve been asked, I can’t think of any reason for them not to do it. No idea whereabouts they proposed they should be on the bill but it hardly matters, it’s just the ‘being there’ for something like this… if they were first on that would be fine by me (although 2nd or 3rd on the bill would be just as peachy…)

So, is the general consensus this?…

- Rehearse/work on new album
- Get on shiny bus to Scarborough
- Play fantastic gig, road test a couple of newies
- Return to shiny bus
- Finish new album
- Critical acclaim and joy all round.

… will that do? Come on… :)

I just found this thread when I was doing a search.

Did anyone else go to this?

Anyone remember how inhumanely cold it was on that cliff?

We all got post-hypothermic delerium in the curry house at the bottom of the hill.

Seriously - there were 6 of us sitting there eating chicken balti and pissing ourselves laughing for absolutely no reason at all.
