I had a fender bassman amp through a 18” cab for the low end sound and the H&H head through 1 x15” and 2 x 10” cabs for the high end with a touch of distortion thrown in… sounded amazing but you needed a van to move it :(

HH amps are pretty old…dont think they make them any more.The combos werent great, but the heads and cabs are apparently virtually indestructable-and very loud.Just found out the other day, my cabs are actually 106watt each, so I could probably drive them sat 300 watt if I wanted…NICE
Although mine is a valvestate, I haven’t heard that mainy valvestate amps that sound as good as this.I know some people who use tube amps and they cant get as good a tone either.All depends on your set up i guess.

I own a HH amp head and i can honestly say it is a brilliant amp. ive gigged it everywhere and love it to bits. First time i turned it up full was in a school assembly hall with just me and my mates, my friend was standing at one end and i was at the other. Thrashed out a d chord and it shook the place like hell. Has more than enough sound to cope with any venue. Also there rock solid. When they were promoting it they purposfully threw the amp down some steps on stage, picked it up, plucked it in and it worked perfectly :D

I also have a 1964 VOX AC30 which is literally just mindblowingly loud and drowns out a marshall 100 easy !
