Monday Morning at work

#

Started by Simon (Simon)

Well it’s monday morning, I haven’t been awake before 9.30 in months. But today I’m working for a few weeks, but there is no work to be done. So i’m bored and was wondering how everyones weekends were?

Yes is a pointless thread, but I need something to amuse me through the day:)

I was sick. Had a bit of a summer flue. Was in bed all weekend and still feel a bit shaky but I managed to go to work, so I must be getting better.

saturday: packed to come back from holidays, cleaned the rented house and drove back home…

sunday: we did nothing but having a “fuckers day”…slept late, had coffee for hours in front of computer, watched tv, smoked zooz a lot, ate junk food, played age of mythology…plus some other things…

:)

Monday mornings at work suck. Not only did I get home late thanks to the public transport back to my parents’ taking forever, but I’ve got a pretty boring job to boot. Oh well. Think of the money.

I got soooooo drunk on Saturday (sorry daryl, it was all your booze). I remember making my brother come round at about midnight because I needed him to listen to some music (Whale, obscurely) and a lot of giggling. Sunday was spent in bed, recuperating.

My lease ran out on my house this weekend so I was determined to make the most of having a place in Belfast before I had to move back to my folks’ for a while. So…

Friday: Absinthe night. Had a fight, got thrown out of the Chinese, insulted one of my best mates down the phone continuously for ten minutes, had a row with my girlfriend, didn’t make it back to bed.

Saturday: Work do - there was a free bar with a tab of £1500 before we had to start paying. Had about 20 bottles of Corona (and 20 slices of lime). Really good night.

Sunday: Made up with as many people as possible after Friday and moved my stuff out of the house feeling more dead than alive. Discovered audio scribbler website once back at my folks’ :)

I’m in work now too but it’s OK

Ach I know, but it’s not forever, plus I should really be getting my head down with my dissertation so it’s not too bad.

Yes living with the parents isn’t too bad for saving a bit of money but after a month cabin fever sets in. I’m back at mine for the first time in 7 years.

To be honest, I’ve not drunk since my night out on wednesday, as the hangover lasted till saturday which wasn’t good as I had been trying to keep a seven yr old entertained all week. But as I’m up in London for the week I see me getting blasted most nights and having my hangovers on company time.

Out drinking all weekend and spent the Sunday out in the lovely bay resort that is Bray to see my favo team play. Luckily a win and we drank the whole town dry consequently.

Unfortunately the whole country here has a bank holiday weekend and I’m the only one in at work. It’s bad having a hangover but having to go to work without any public transport and no car is even worse.

Thank God I’ve a bottle of Buckfast waiting for me to get home !

My thoughts exactly! I used to have some head engineer at one work who used to get shitfaced everynight of the apart from friday and saturday. As he didn’t want to waste his weekend.
