So if I remade it, but in my version Julie Andrews got her head blown off halfway through ‘Do a deer’ (that says Doe, not do. Doing a deer wouldn’t work), then you’d watch it?
if you cut out all the rest of the singing and that one part where her heads leaves her body she was doing a shatner style spoken word version of the song then yes.

@ Hooch - towards the end of the film, not long after the dwar .. *ahem* children ar exhumed.
@ Divers - Well she does that bit in a sort of speech as she has to talk through her neck, but earlier on their are wuite a few extra songs, including ‘oh no, the children are drowning’ and ’ whoe the hell hacked my boat to bits?’.
@ D - No, that part is to be played by Heysatan. You are playing the plimsole line.

Again no..if the kids and the dancing could also be cut out i would be happier… i just like the idea of a film called “the sound of music” and there being no music in the whole film…granted it is now more of a 15 minute short once the music was taken out… but it means at christmas BBC1 can squeeze in another episode of fools and horses.

I’m quite enjoying these abridged versions of christmas films. I may see about editing the great escape and taking out all the parts which involve the planning of escaping and the escaping it’s self. So it will mainly be germans standing around and steve mcqueen throwing a baseball… should take the running time to about 5 1/2 minutes.

I would say to take anything out of the film that involves the title would mean that it would really be a 10min film with a posh person nicking a micro film… then a load of grannys have a fight with some random chinese people and finishing with some soup advert. The rest would have to go.

Could just go with the soup advert, to be on the safe side?
That film used to be on every christmas eve, didn’t it? I think I watched it every time, too. :)

Yep not a fan of musicals… mainly lloyd webber ones as i think he is a disgrace..and really not in any way talented. It’s also the style in which musicals are sang that i hate the most they are too formulaic..i’ve only enjoyed ones that are a bit different or just very funny.

i have a funny story, yesterday the guy tha is doing the building work for us (he’s the boss I think but he’s very young, so I’m not sure) came to our house to arrange some stuff. He was only in for about ten minutes, but he was staring the entire time at my breasts. It was very funny as he tried not to but his eyes just had a life of their own. I was wearing a t-shirt, so there was really nothing to see. Very funny :D I hop he didn’t hear me laughing when i closed the door :D
