It would be obvious to cancel a gig if someone of them is sick or otherwise unable to play. What if Andy or Neil gets sick, who would you think could replace them? Liam Gallagher and Phil Collins..? No fucking way. Therapy? without the current members is like a hotdog without a weener or a champagne without bubbles. :p

The only “stand-in” gig I now was when Graham’s arm was broken for the first time, they played in France one gig with Michael’s brother Charlie on drums (He did a great job, BTW). On the second time they cancelled US shows.

I think Michael’s brother played also played along on a festival… I don’t remember which one…

No gig would be the same without Michael, nor Neil and Andy…
Imagine… A gig with a stand-in singer/guitar player… :D

If ever (probably never) Michael’s too sick to play, I’ll try to do my best and make him feel better.

The natural continuation of that sentence would be ‘With a good strong backrub’. And maybe some extras.

Rereading my post I must agree that it’s a bit silly. What I wanted to say is that I’d be Mike’s substitute and that would make him feel better and very fast, because I’m not half as good on the bass as he is :D

I’m sorry - I just think this thread is really funny - I can just imagine him turning up with a note from his mum excusing him from playing a gig because of a bad cold or something… :D

Well, on the Bruce Dickinson Radio 6 gig, he had a bandage wraped round is arm because he’d lacerated his arm at another gig (I think…) So, if Mike is too sick to play, I geuss Mike plays anyway.

“Lacerated”? Somebody has been looking at the dictionary, “cut” would have been fine. :p

Hehe.
Doctor: You’re gonna need a bandage for that 1 inch cut you’ve got there.

Hmmm…yeah, wimpy.

Doctor: You’re gonna need a bandage for that deep laceration you’ve got there.

You know, I think you’re right. Laceration is definitely better for dramatic effect. :D
