Just watched a very interesting programme about Patty Hearst and the Symbionese Liberation Army.

She was a very rich young woman who was kidnapped by a group of left-wing terrorists in the USA, fell in love with the leader, disowned her family and fiancee, and started robbing banks to fund the SLA’s attempt to topple the government and feed the poor. Sadly the ending of the story was rather shit as she got a laughable sentence whilst the rest of the group were either shot dead or banged up…including a pardon from President Clinton and regular appearances on chat shows

I love this kind of shit :D

Just watched an interesting documentary about some French bloke who pretended to his family for years that he was a high flying medical researcher…and then shot them all.

Cheery stuff, as usual :)

it’s not too bad. there are some good bits in there but it’s certainly nowhere near as good as the first couple of series or the christmas special.

You suspect correctly sir - I watched this on thursday, I really, really wanted to like this, However, I just thought the whole concept was crap. The writters have disappeared up their own exit-holes.

This was exactly the impression I got after watching an interview with them and hearing about the ‘oh-so-clever’ plot. TLOG went downhill rapidly after the second series, if you ask me.

I’ve only seen one episode of this and it was fucking ace. And really weird. The one with the fishman in it, who used to be in some kind of funk band.

That was the one where they got lost because the road on the map that they were following turned out to be a strip of liquorice. :D
