Wall of Mouths

I would imagine that the crowd’s response to these tunes is a big factor in still being able to play them without going insane and smashing all the gear up in frustration (!)

I ply in a covers band myself and whilst there is nothing quite like spicing things up for the band themselves by adding new material, it’s always good to play the popular ones that people expect to hear, just cos they go so mad for them.

Also, I notice that songs that I am sick to death of playing don’t make me wanna puke quite so much if we have even the slightest break from playing, so maybe when the band are in the studio for months and then come out with a new batch of songs to add to the set and a bit of a rest from gigging under their belts, that is enough to breath new life into the old songs…?

Or maybe they just fucking hate playing them and really have to force a smile as they try and look enthusiatic for Potato Junkie the twentieth time in a month, on a rainy Tuesday in February at Bolton Town Hall or wherever!:D:

..PS…I think they still like “Nowhere” for example becuase it´s a little bit of regular during “soundchecks” as I reckon…
it´s a song I must hear live…:-)

And before I go to work I must hear “Gimme Back My brain”…hehe:-)
