Bad Mother sold for $300!!! Who’s the lunatic?

#

Started by Alan

Last week Bad Mother was on ebay, the next day it was gone. I emailed the seller and asked where it disappeared to and he said someone had offered him $300 for it! I think we have discovered two things - 1. the most expensive Therapy? item to date and 2. the craziest Therapy? fucker ever. Come on, own up - who was it?

I made two bids, but I’m not stupid, even though I love Therapy? I don’t recall there being a ‘buy now’ option, I think the final buyer could have obtained it for a way lower price. My God, $300, think about the other things you can do with that!!

I went there with the intention of making a high bid of $200 but I was just unlucky the seller decided to end the auction. Sellers can end auctions for whatever reason they like, unfortunately!

I was pretty disappointed as well, it was suddenly gone! But $300 dollars? I wouldn’t spend that much on it if my live depended on it! I mailed him about it as well and he told me the same thing, so it is probably true.

I hope the buyer reveals himself.. Come on (wo)man, we mean lunatic in a nice way :-)

I’ve e-mailed the seller the URL of this board… and said that there was a big question who the strange bidder was… And that he might want to answer it… So maybe who knows, who will come forward!!!???

Speaking of expensive T? items, although not as outrageous as Bad Mother, the current bid for Dead Laughing on eBay is $88 which is pretty high..

I don’t know how you guys feel about copying bootlegs through Napster, but it’s on there! It’s a different story for official releases, that would be stealing from the band we love, but Therapy? doesn’t earn anything on bootlegs, so that’s why I copy unofficial stuff from Napster. Anyway, my point is: why bother buying a bootleg for so much money, if you can get it from Napster? I found Dead Laughing, No Love Lost, Fistful Of Power, Isolation, Bizarre ‘98, Bizarre 2000, and Forestglade2k, all are of great quality. Not only does it save you a lot of money, but also time and effort, since some of them are pretty hard to get, or not even to get at all (like Bizarre and Forestglade2K). I don’t care about the artwork of bootlegs, I only care about the sound of it.

The final bid for Dead Laughing on eBay is $122.50 !? It was the first thing I ever bought on eBay, and I paid $10.99 ! Who else has Dead Laughing, and what did you pay for it?

Hey Iris, don’t forget to buy a ‘Good Fuckin Night’ for me! Please? By the way, I bought Dead Laughing in a shop in Dublin for about $15, but since then, all shops seem to be selling cdr’s of these bootlegs and still charging $15. I guess you can call it ‘bootlegging the bootleggers’, but I still want all the originals. Still looking for; Not lunacy, Absolutely Barking, Now and Then, Some of the Rest, Live in London 94 (is that what it’s called?) That’s it I think.
