Yeah love ‘em. My favourite album is the one with the three-legged dog on the front.

Layne Staley, what a wasted talent…

I think someone posted Layne’s last ever interview on this site once, it was really sad. He was just spending his last days sitting on a couch in a darkened room, bitter and alone with his teeth falling out of his head :(

I had Dirt on cassette in the early 90’s, didn’t liked much and hardly listened it. Liked the songs Angry Again, Rooster, Them Bones though. When I heard Get Born Again from the radio I had to get it, so I got “Nothing Safe
The Best Of The Box” where it was. I can still listen that song ten times at repeat but that album didn’t make me do more effort to really “know” them (read: didn’t get anymore albums). So one best off doesn’t make me a fan…

its kinda a testement to their musical ability - they hadn’t really gigged together for about 3 years before that was recorded, and the playing is tight as fuck.

And Mike Inez is an awesome bassist.

I do like a bit of AIC. Not exactly a ‘happy’ band, though. I’ve got all AIC’s cds, including the boxset, which is great. Layne Staley is dead, yet Fred Durst is still making records! Where’s the justice?

Unlike 2pac who is dead and still making records!

The best thing they ever did, and so said Layne… A greatband indeed that made some very good songs. They’ve all been metioned in this thread, but Rooster and Would are my favourites and Dirt my favourite album.

The new Alice stuff sounds Great, i’m really looking forward to the album… layne was a good front man and his lyrics dark but he wasn’t a great singer, the new fella has the chops and they seem to out blow everyone away. At soundwave they made NIN look quite lame in sound and performance which is saying alot!
