Funny team names for quiz night at the pub

#

Started by Superunknown

Everytime on quiz night at the local pub we’re sitting there, brilliantly scoring 9 correct answers out of 20 and we can never come up with an original and funny team name. That’s why I turn to you for some suggestions, so next time I can pretend they’re mine and get all the admiration for being such a funny guy.

By the way, the last time there was a team called “I sniffed Kate Moss’ crack”, which I thought was quite nice.

We once competed with the name “Sympathy For Den Duvel” but I guess that would only be funny in Belgium.

Our team is always called “the dying cats” cos thats a phrase we use to describe someone who is hungover, annoying, thick, or any combination of these traits.

Sorry for the late reply. Our name had to do with the evening’s bonus question. The question was: “What was the longest timespan a chicken lived after having been decapitated?” (correct answer was 15 months I think)

To show our pity with the poor chicken we called ourselves “Give head to the cock”.

Well, you could Google it..

The head wasn’t totally severed off… I think they drip-fed it or something… I know I’ve heard of this chicken before.

Yeah, wasn’t it one of the contestants on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here? Sounds like the sort of big name they’d use. ;)

Help needed - am now in the pub quiz at work tomorrow night but we need a name - ideally continuing the theme from past quizzes where we have been:

O for awesome
K for Clever
J for Genius
E for Idiot

Any of you bright sparks got any ideas?

Ha ha, thanks Sarah, I will put those to the rest of the team… unless we get snowed off, which is currently looking plausible

In the last pub quiz our gang was down as the GPT ( Guinness Promotion Team ).

The company itself would probably not have been too impressed with our ‘performance’.

We ended up being W for Right but I think R for wrong would have been better. Due to the weather it was a poor turnout, but even then we only managed 3rd out of 4 teams, which is almost too crappy to tell you guys about :-(

But someone pretty said something which could be favourably misinterpreted, so that was good :-)
