Killing Joke

Still alive after the first time I ever saw them (25 years ago) and better than ever! I lost track of them after Nighttime, but last monday I found the track back again. I can advise you all to take a look at http://www.fabchannel.com and watch the concert they played at De Melkweg, Amsterdam.

Saw ‘em in Manchester on Thurs (for the 2nd time) - fantastic live band… They played a good mix of new and old stuff!

Geordie has one of the best guitar sounds I have heard

I’ve been listening to Pandemonium quite a lot recently, but it’s the only album I have. Any recommendations for a next buy?

Get some of their earlier stuff; Killing Joke or What’s This For would be a good start :)

If you like Pandemonium get their second self titled album ‘Killing Joke’ from 2003, other than that their first self titled album ‘Killing Joke’ is a classic like Hooch said. Night Time is also worth a listen

If you want a snapshot of their early work you could get ‘Laugh, I Nearly Bought One’ which is a pretty decent best of

The 2003 self titled one is a long album about 78 mins - so ££’s per minute your cash will go far on that one ;)

My dad recently brought round all of his Killing Joke vinyl for me to copy onto tape for him. I stuck one on and ended up with a 30 minute version of Turn To Red cause the needle got stuck, heh heh

You’re going to have a great time. For those of you who couldn’t attend a Killing Joke gig, have a look at http://www.fabchannel.com/ You can see the entire gig of the 3rd October at De Melkweg. Have fun. (If you scroll down, there’s also a T? gig, recorded 28-10-2003 at Paradiso; absolutely worthwhile watching.)
