its not the first time that a guitar riff sounds identical to another riff by another band and another song… i found the whole story kind of ridiculous! and now it seems like its going in round 2

I doubt they ‘borrowed’ a riff… (‘borrowed a riff?’). Those particular notes in that particular timing just went well with the song. And Vertigo is way more like Isolation than Sister anyway. Big deal. That E hammer on D to A thing is a blindingly obvious riff that has been done MANY times. Nobody’s ripping off anyone’s work, because writing a riff like that takes no effort at all in the first place. Still, T? make it sound class, anyway. It’s musicality vs technicality. Difficult and complicated isn’t nescessarily better, adn neither is going off on a tangent like this, so I’ll just shut up now.
