Shatter = If It Kills Me

#

Started by Andy D (Andy)

Has anyone noticed that the rather simple riff of Shatter by Feeder is similar to the riff used in If It Kills Me by THERAPY?

Have you ever noticed that the riff in the middle of

Trigger Inside is The Four Horsemen by Metallica ?

or Femtex is a bit like One By Metallica ?

now i quote myself… what a bummer

honestly i just mentioned that because all the people couldnt believe this.. what a discgrace and so on, bla bLa

its not the first time that a guitar riff sounds identical to another riff by another band and another song… i found the whole story kind of ridiculous! and now it seems like its going in round 2

I doubt they ‘borrowed’ a riff… (‘borrowed a riff?’). Those particular notes in that particular timing just went well with the song. And Vertigo is way more like Isolation than Sister anyway. Big deal. That E hammer on D to A thing is a blindingly obvious riff that has been done MANY times. Nobody’s ripping off anyone’s work, because writing a riff like that takes no effort at all in the first place. Still, T? make it sound class, anyway. It’s musicality vs technicality. Difficult and complicated isn’t nescessarily better, adn neither is going off on a tangent like this, so I’ll just shut up now.

I hate how people on here are adamant that because a riff

sounds similar to a Therapy? riff - IT MUST BE A RIP OFF.

I was talking about how femtex sounds like “one”

and Trigger Inside sounds like ” The four horsemen “

There’s a Wildhearts song on the first album that sounds exactly like ‘Stories’, though Stories is a far better song i have to say. And some American band, think it was Prong had a riff that was EXACTLY the riff from Knives.

Its impossible to not sound like someone else these days a bit cos everything’s been done!
