what about parents???

Started by rocking roxy in General Therapy? Topics

sorry, but i was just wondering if your parents also like T? like you do…

my mommy does…well, i just played her HA this weekend and the first question was: can i have a copy of that too?
yeah that was fun…
so i asked her for a joke, if she wants to go to a gig too, and she said yes!
and i know she was listening to it secretly, while we were out…
in the meanwhile we “teached” her the devil-sign…

so if you see during the tour a woman, much older then you, showing the devil sign and shouting to andy: “don’t spit on yourself, that’s disgusting…” then you have my rocking mommy in front of you :D

My stepmother never really caught on to T?. She was too busy writing sermons about how heavy metal bands are seducing the hearts and minds of our children to commit SIN!. :rolleyes: (she’s an anglican minister).

pretty ironic, considering dad and i spent an awful lot of time listening to T? albums in the car, on the way to church every sunday. ;)

I’m not the only one? Cool! Their first album was okay, but had a couple of really good tracks, but the second one was fantastic. The third one wasn’t nearly so good but some of the band had left by then, and the new singer was a bit pants.

Overall, they (and Bolt Thrower - I really did take White Dwarf too seriously) were about the heaviest bands I ever got into (I’m an indie kid, dammit, I have no biceps!), but Dreamweaver was a brilliant record, and really did justice to the book it was based on.

‘Horned is The Hunter’ from the first album is 8 minutes of pure original thrash..I suggest people pick up either that album or yes, the second one too. A totally underated band.

Andy Sneap now has his own studio in Derby, and is doing very well. In fact the last time I saw the blighter was at Ozzfest 98 (T? played)

it never looked as though they were trying to be rock or act younger than what they actually are. i know for sure they do it because they like live music a lot :)
plus, it’s good to have someone who stays at the back and can hold your jacket and your keys for you :D

Ahem, anyway, put it on, and got to the end of IIKM, when my nephew goes ‘play it again’. He’s 2 years and 3 months - does this make him the youngest T? appreciator (fan’s probably too strong a word just yet). He also had a good boogie, as far as any 2 yo can.

Of course, his mother then goes ‘turn his crap off’. But then, she’s been in a bad mood since August 2000.
