It was a shock to hear. One of the great charismatic wrestlers.

It’s been said he died of heart failure, I’m sure the pills and booze couldn’t have helped his heart much.

RIP.

I haven’t followed WWF (or WWE, rather) for years now. Sorry to hear about him though. I was a keen follower of Big Boss Man, Legion of Doom and the Hart Foundation, as well as the late Davey Boy Smith, aka The British Bulldog, whose passing at the age of 38 hardly made the pages of the British press. Typical.

Think it was his heart that gave in on him. I guess it ususally the steroids they’ve got pumped into them and probably life on the road takes the toal on them.

It’s such a shame that the wrestlers involved in this industry (especially the WWE) have to turn to these drugs to ensure they don’t get sacked.

Guerrero managed to come clean, but from what I see, the WWE doesn’t really bother to offer support, but instead add the pressure for these wrestlers to perform every week.

It’s shit, it really is.

this apparently appeared on wwe.com

In a joint meeting today with the RAW and SmackDown rosters in the United Kingdom, in Sheffield, Vince McMahon announced that within the next several weeks, a new drug testing policy will be implemented in which performance enhancing drugs, such as steroids, etc., recreational drugs, as well as abuse of prescription drugs will be banned.

In addition to the new drug testing procedure, there will also be an emphasis on cardiovascular examinations.

The specifics of the drug policy will be announced over the next several weeks. More details to follow. Check with WWE.com for the latest information.

So does this mean that performance enhancing drugs were ok and used regualry until this statement appeared?

No doubt this is due to Eddies death but makes oyu wonder will McMahon actually fallow through wiht this

they dont allow performance enhancing drugs anymore, there was a massive scandall back in the early 90’s but this is more about the painkillers the wrestlers use to work through injurys.

Sorry to ressurect this but i think its discusting that WWE are using EDDIE in their Rey Mysterio storylines on Smackdown and in their Chavo guerrero storyline on RAW.

also God is apparently wrestling the next ppv (What the hell?)

I refuse to watch anymore WWE and now watch TNA wrestling instead.

yeah whats up with the wwe latley its gone so down hill, there resorting to have shawn michaels and GOD vs vince and shane wtf? its shocking .

the 2 champions suck , hate both john cena and rey mysterio.

triple H has lost the main event 3 wrestlemanias in a row.

kane still has only been champion once and that was only for a day.

people still cant stand kurt angle even though he is the best actual wrestler ever.

the only good thing about it write now is that Gene Snitsky is still funny and weird :D

If eddie diddnt die Rey wouldntbe champ.

Nowadays they give the champs to workers to get them over rather than give it to workers like hhh and angle who are already over.

John cena looks to be turning heel, and he seems to have lost the edge (edge is doing ok btw, future champion?) he once had.
