Police

A little story about something that happened to me last weekend.

My drummer and I were on our way to kent last weekend for band practice. About halfway there we stopped at a service station and got some food. I went to the counter to get a drink and a policeman came up to me and told me he had a problem with me. Apparantly he was mortally offended by my DLAMF teeshirt and that i had to cover it up. I told him that it was only a teeshirt and that it wasnt a big deal but he then went on to rip into me in front of the restaurant telling me how i should do as im told because he is a policeman and is protecting the public. I didnt want to cause any shit so I went over to our table and put my zeppelin hoodie on while he stood right over me and waited for me to put it on.

Ill be honest i do have complete respect for the police after all they are just trying to do a job. What i dont get is how these odd coppers get off on telling people what they should wear I was fucking infuriated by it all.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but i just had to let off steam about it.

I think a lot of police really hate having to enforce pissy stupid laws when they’d much rather be out catching real crooks.

I guess he took offence to the park bench you launched at him though? or was he laughing at your ‘clown shoes’?

It was during an anti-war protest when police had us penned in on a bridge. I was warned that if I swore again I would be arrested, so I said that instead.

See, I’ve always been a cunt! :D

I don’t think I was reading Gothic romances in those days, I was less mellow. Probably thought I was some kind of urban warrior, with a print out of the Anarchist’s Cookbook :p

What is DLAMF? In this country you CANNOT tell another human being what to wear/say, unless its something mortally offensive like the Cradle of Filth tops.

Thing is what do you do if a pig demands you to remove a top? Say no?

But Principle of Evil IS a good album, though.

I realise I may be in the minority with this… :(

However, if you’re going to ask a sweet, old, Belgian woman if she has small change for €5 for the parking meter, you may find she’s desperately trying to avoid you. :o

At the time I thought she was put off by my Burt Reynolds’ style moustache though.

Remember, the majority of human beings are so small minded that you can swear on tv and blame younger generations for everything thats wrong with the World but you can’t wear a naughty word on your t-shirt, yawwwwwn.

Still the story sounds strange to me, not that i don;t believe you, but in my opinion if you wear the shirt it is just an expression of freedom of speech, so i think he couldn’t have forced you to wear something else… but hey we’ve all had our little things with the cops right? i once pissed over a police cat while drunk, and noticed that i could still run very fast with my pants halfway down. being pissed as a fart…
