One disadvantage noted by coppers using the ‘attack cats’ is that they can no longer blame accidental suspect ‘falls’ on the man in custody having slipped on a police dog turd. Cats shit in boxes full of sand.

There is a big difference between wearing a T-shirt that says fuck on it wear kids can be exposed to it and it’s in everybody’s face, compared to something being on TV that is rated and you are not forced to watch.
There are young kids around and perhaps it’s not a good idea to walk around wearing a T-shirt like that.
My 2 cents.

The kids round here use the word fuck every second word however I seriously doubt if many of them could actually spell it.

I completely agree with freedom of speech. But then if you walking down public high street with a swear word on your t-shirt isn’t that like you’re trying to impose your statement on others?
I’m offended when someone comes up to me and says “Have you found God yet?” or some other crap like that. I wouldn’t go into a church and say “has anyone decided NOT to believe in god yet?” I’d get in all kinds of religious hatred trouble for that. So therefore imposing beliefs or statements on people who don’t want it can only cause harm.
So I think I’d agree that wearing an abusive t shirt isn’t really acceptable in public.

Regardless whether you find the word ‘fuck’ offensive or not, the copper was within his rights to make you cover up your t-shirt.

I remember years ago a similar case and the guy was arrested under the ‘profane representation act of 18-something or other’

If the article of clothing contains offensive language or pornographic images, they have every right to tell you what you can’t wear.
