Mr Bungle and Frank Black & The Catholics

Jesus fuckin’ Christ! Saw Mr.Bungle on tv the other day and I though they were absolutely brilliant. This is one of those bands I heard of for years and years but never heard anything from ‘em. I always ASSUMED that they were bad without hearing one single note. Been to quite a few festivals where they played, which is a bit annoying right now if y’all know what I mean. Fortunately I saw Faith No More live at least once.

Oh yeah, and Frank Blacks new album is actually very very good. I hate it when people say that he can never top the Pixies. So fuckin’ what. His solo output is always way better than your average guitar band. And Dog In The Sand is great from the first to the last second and, although I never pay attention to reviews, even Q gave it 4 stars.

Cheers,
T.Skywalker

P.S. To Unbeliever: What d’you know about the Kecks.

Yep, Mr bungle are fantastically warped.
The best live show I’ve been to was Mr Bungle when they did 2 UK dates in 97.

Mr.Bungle is really good, actually. Besides T? I used to go to as many FNM-gigs as possible (ehm..that’s just three, that is); shame they quit. Mr.Bungle isn’t as quite the same as FNM but Patton makes good fun in this band. It always has been his 2nd band and he seemed/seemes to have more fun with those lads. Shame they’re not performing in the Netherlands - as far as I know.
