Comments On The Band’s Diary

#

Started by Nitro

It’s great that they are writing down some notes about their rehearsals, what they’re listening/watching/reading/engaging ( :) ) but as I read the last diary “Let the madness begin…”, and the names of the songs they’re working on, I wanted to ask:

Where the fuck is Passer By?

Title: Please Hammer, Don’t Erdem

Sorry Erdem, can’t resist a reply. The song “Passerby” we jammed at soundcheck in Turkey this year is now going under the title of “Our White Noise” and sounds much much more kicking and rocking.

Hope you’re well and thanks again for looking after us so well…feel the fire ye say?

The band diaries, especially when they’re in rehearsal and recording, are one of the best things about this site. Most bands post fuck all on their sites, and even then it’s only when thay have something to sell. T? keep us informed as to the progress of the new tunes, and if Michael thinks “this whole writing/rehearsal diary might be a bit boring”, he couldn’t be more wrong. Keep it up!!!

I actually really enjoy the band dairies, especially about the ones about the whole writing/recording process, I used to be in a band myself (Landmine Spring), and really like reading how the band gets really excited about fresh new ideas, and the way that they explore the possible vocal/musical harmonies and arrangements. It kind of brings back memories of my own experiences, plus it gives an insight into what happens during these times for the average joe that hasn’t been in a band and had that kind of experience.
On a “geekier” note, I hope they include as many of the songs on the new album as possible!!Keep Rockin Boys!!

I’m in a band, and they way Therapy? make songs is certainly a way I’d like to experiment.

Keep on writing Michael. Your doing a top job.

Like many people who replied to this topic, I really enjoy the bands diary. It makes you indeed feel you’re part of the making and make me looking forward to the new album (can it be better then NANE) and especially the forth coming tour. Will nighttown in Rotterdam be so smart to contract them?

These diaries are informative, giving us fans an inside of how their work comes together.

Judging by their song titles (rough ideas, I know), Walked Through Darkness sounds like a good one. Can’t wait.

Today’s diary “Magnum” is the best of all!!!!

Fuck, I felt so excited!!! Well, I was also singing in a band released 2 albums. I felt the same years ago.

Listen, last week my new band released a demo. We found someone who could burn the CD’s cheap. But we didn’t accept. We burnt the CD’s in our computers, put the stickers on the CD’s and put the CD’s and covers in the cases by ourselves, just to feel the fun of it! I wanna say nothing compares to this feeling!!!

Its awesome as it shows the band don’t hide behind a certain ‘rock star fuck you’ type attitude and status. Gives you chance to hear from them in a honest and down to earth manner.
