It would be a start.

I believe, even though they possibly pre-date the word, or at least its usage in common parlance, they are a bit pikey.

Would still dance to ‘One Way though, esp if drunk!

That would be te infamous Reading appearance? Yes, strange man. I was off work for 4 weeks after that weekend. He also had a couple of dancers with a bit too much cellulite for such extreme close-ups. Never seen someone ridiculed from the stage before, whole thing was very bizarre.

In his defence, although not, I hasten to add, something I’d be seen in, quite a reasonable frock. Very demur, more of a gown and a saucy cocktail number.

You have a 4 year old? And yet you looked so… young at the Barfly! Fuck me, I must be getting old.

Didn’t hear much about Kevin Rowland after that performance. Believe his album set a record for poor sales at Creation.

I think there’s a lot to be said for starting “early” - and 22 is hardly 17. But it was never a conscious decision to start late as such.

Sorry, being maudlin, just found out that another mate is expecting, so am hearing Time’s Winged Chariot etc etc tonight. But at least I’m not Kevin Rowland, so must count my blessings.

Wonder if in hindsight, he wonders what the fuck he thought he was doing.

You wouldn”t want to trust him with another commercial decision.
At least Adam Ant went off the rails in a tabloid-friendly way!
