Haven’t seen a mention of this guy on here even though he passed away the other week.

A real genius of comedy who unfortunately seems to be known more for his rather erratic film work than his genuinely groundbreaking and hilarious stand up.Those of you that are unfamiliar with his work are urged to get this and then those of you with cash should check out this epic nine disc set

Rest in peace motherfucker

I’ve always wanted to get some of his stuff but didn’t know where to start, cheers! :)

I’ve just bought the dvd online, but from sendit.com ‘cos it was only £7.99 there with free p&p to Ireland.

I saw it reported on the news and was surprised not to see a mention of it on here until now. He was a funny guy whos life was plagued with a lot of misfortune.

A real shame. He’s not been well for years, though, so it was always gonna be sooner rather than later. He really was a funny motherfucker, everybody should own some pryor stand up material. I agree his films were patchy, but he was great in superman and he did a film which i can’t seem to get hold of called “blue collar” with harvey keitel. It was a straight acting role, a good film.
