Hi,
there are very interesting songs by T? to download at http://www.dimeadozen.org
Check it out, there is nfo file copied from the site

Torrent 1
—————
Catweazel
Rehearsal Tape
Belfast (?) 1990 (?)

Source: 2nd or 3rd gen. cassette > teac v-550x tape deck > m-audio duo > dsp-quattro 2.1 > xACT

1. Another day
2. Crazy hippy
3. (this isn’t) Where it’s at
4. Pesky injun
5. Unbeliever
6. Now it’s gone
7. Up to you

Andy Cairns - vocals, guitars
Chappie - vocals, bass
(?) - drums

Despite their short lived existence, I was fortunate enough to catch this band live once and they were really good. They were maybe only together for under a year and went their separate ways once Therapy? got the deal with Wiiija and took to touring more. Don’t know if the few shows they played were recorded but i got this sometime in late 1990/early 1991 and it should definitely prove interesting to fans of Therapy? as it displays Cairns interest in melodic punk way ahead of ‘Screamager’ etc. Vocals were shared and I’m guessing song writing also, as the track ‘Unbeliever’, sung by Andy Cairns, appears to have transformed into ‘Nowhere’ four years later! The tape is quite rough and was made with a boombox or portable tape recorder. There is a lot of fluctuation on the first track which is a pity as it’s a good one but it clears up when the tape is stopped at the end of the song, which leads me to think it was a problem with the original recorder. The other side of my tape plays fine.
Hope you enjoy this, i think ‘Pesky Injun’ is worth the download alone.

Torrent 2
—————
Therapy?
Dave Fanning Session
RTE radio, Dublin, Ireland
14th October 1990

Source: 3rd? gen. pre-FM cassette > teac v-550x tape deck > m-audio duo > dsp-quattro 2.1 > xACT

Track 1-4: This was a tape of the session passed out by the band prior to broadcast back in 1990. This copy is about 2nd or 3rd generation and has some tape hiss between tracks which can’t be noticed once the music kicks in (you could always remove it yourself if such things bother you). The tracks were subsequently broadcast in a different order.
Track 5: This was not a part of the broadcast. It is an unreleased rehearsal from ‘89 or ‘90 that one of the band had included on an old mix-tape. I don’t think it’s seen any circulation so is included here as a bonus.
Sound quality overall is a fair B+ with the exception of track 5 which sounds like it could have been made on an old boom-box.

1. Reality fuck 4:28
2. Innocent X 3:50
3. Dancin’ with Manson 5:37
4. Body O.D. 3:26
5. Mind, body and soul 7:37

Total running time 24:58

Enjoy

jan

Unfortunately I have thumb in the middle of my hand with these torrent-things so I’ll have to wait if some merciful soul will put them available somewhere else to people like me… ;)

BRILLIANT! Thanks very much for posting. I have it down now, and I’ll leave my torrent thing up as long as I can to make it easier for others to get.

Notice that “(this isn’t) where it’s at” is the music for Jude The Obscene…

Certainly a very interesting recording and great to have.

I don’t think “Mind, body & soul” is a Therapy? tune though. The vocals don’t sound anything like Andy or Fyfe. It has more of a Page Hamilton quality about it.

I stand corrected! I emailed Michael and he confirmed that they recorded the song, they even played it lived a couple of times. Andy is on vocals.

I’m not always there, that must be the reason you can’t find it.

If I knew which of the four links that I see when looking at my shared files folder, I need to give, I’d give it to you, but I don’t…

Michael also confirmed that his brother Charlie drummed on the Catweazle stuff. :)
